So Friday we did indeed end up going to Montebello mall and went to a bunch of stores to see about job openings, but most of them had their applications online, so that wasn't all that fruitful -.-'
We ran into Jonathan right when we got there though, so he stuck around with us for a while :) Eventually Jonathan went home and the rest of us left and had some dinner :D

On Saturday, Joseph, Amy, and I met up at Kevin's house and Jonathan picked us up and we went to the...West Coast Plaza I think it was called? It's this really HUGE and really extravagant mall in Costa Mesa o-o' Like...everything there was Coach, Oscar de la Renta, Tiffany, Lalique, yadda yadda, ...i swear the cheapest place  I saw there was like...H&M ._.'''
We went because Jonathan needed to find a wedding gift for a friend, which we finally ended up finding at Macys :D
The rest of the time was spent oogling at the home furnishings in Crate & Barrel and Macy's home XD
For lunch, we went to Ruby's diner where Kevin and I split a burger because we'd both eaten a little bit before leaving home. As I was ordering, Kevin and I moved at the same time and managed to spill like half of his cherry coke on my pants D: (brr... gooey sticky freezing cold crotch is NOT fun ='[ ) After lunch as we were leaving, Amy and I ended up at Victoria's secret where they were having a sale ...poor boys got stuck outside, but eventually came in because we were taking so long ...which by the way wasn't our fault -.-' we asked a sales girl about the fitting rooms, and she said someone should be back there (which...when we went the first time there wasn't anyone, that's why we asked her -.-' ) but we went back anyways, and randomly a salesgirl came out of the back (she looked like she just got off shift) she asked if we needed the rooms and we said yes, so she said that she'd get someone ...but no one ever came -________-'''' so...finally another sales girl that was helping someone else out, asked and opened the stupid rooms for us YAY (...and grr to all the other people >( ). We finished up pretty quickly after that and left for home. Jonathan left for dinner with his family, and the rest of us went to Tasty Choice for dinner before going to Lyn's house and meeting up with Michael for a while and playing Rockband :D

Sunday, Kevin came with my family to Tokyo lobby for dinner, and afterwards we just bummed at his house until he took me home.
Monday and Tuesday, We've basically bummed at his house, and then gone to Lyn's house to play some Rockband :D

...Tuesday though, we went over and poor Scooter wasn't his feisty self :'( He seemed to have a fever, a bit of erratic breathing, and a runny nose (...which could probably explain his breathing...if he can't breathe because of a stuffy nose or something *pets* )

So...this week has been pretty busy so far :D

Monday was Joseph's graduation! Joseph's mom took Joseph, Amy, Michael, Kevin and I to this dimsum place called ...888 i think? She's INSANE! In no time flat like 20 dishes magically appeared in front of us ._.'' And at one point, Kevin and Joseph were talking about how it was the first time Kevin had gotten full at dim sum and BAM her head flew up from her dish and she was like FOOD? YOU'RE STILL HUNGRY, YOU WANT MORE? I CAN ORDER MORE 8DDDD ...and we were all like *groan* NOOOOO we're full alreadyyyy T_________T'''
After dimsum, Michael drove Kevin and I to the graduation site in Culver City. The graduation class was so small, only about 185 people, so it went pretty fast, and it was inside so we didn't have to burn in the sun YAAAAY :D
Once the graduation was over, it was torture trying to gather up everyone, but once we did so, we headed over to Little Tokyo. Joseph's mom got lost, so while we waited for them, Michael, Kevin and I went over to Marukai to wander until they arrived. Once they got to Wellers Court, Joseph's mom bought us dinner at a korean restaurant called Tofu Village (it's on the 2nd floor). The food was nummyyyy (and expensive >.o' ) She kept asking the poor waiter for refills on the banchan, I kind of felt sorry for him, he barely got any breaks haha D;

After dinner, we thanked her profusely for buying us so much food, and went over to Michael's house to wait for Joseph and Amy to drop off Joseph's mom and meet up with us. We ended up messing with Jeff (Michael's brother)'s newly modded Wii, until finally we went to Target to buy Taboo, Fosselmans so Joseph could get his rootbeer float with rootbeer ice cream, and then ended up going to Lyn's house to play some boardgames :D

On Tuesday, I went over to Kevin's house for a while until we picked up Barb from Union Station, and met up with Michael, Joseph, and Amy at Sam Woo for some nummy cheap foods :D After dinner, we headed over to Lyn's house to play more board games until around 10 when we decided to head over to the Renaissance to line up for the midnight showing of Transformers2. We had lots of interesting conversations in line, which by the way stretched 3 sides of the building when we got there (...we were all the way by the Rite Aid parking lot >.o' ). The movie was supposed to start at 12:01, but it didn't start until after 12:30 >.o' I thought it was ok, but the script was soooo bad >.>' (some of the dialogue made me want to head desk...and there's a leg humping robot in there wtf -.-'''''). I fell asleep towards the end of it, so I missed some of the action, but there was still plenty enough to be seen haha D;

By the time the movie was over, it was already past 3am, so as soon as I got home, I basically crashed =_='

Wednesday, I woke up with a horrible headache >.>' My mom and I headed over to Best Buy in Pasadena so that she could return the digital antenna she bought, because it wasn't working, and bought another one ...which we also figured out doesn't work -_-'''

Thursday, after Kevin got off from school I came over and we waited around until about 7 when we met up with Michael, Joseph, and Amy for dinner at Galangal ...except Galangal isn't around anymore *tear* so we went across the street to Yoma Myanmar-Thai restaurant :D the lady there was really nice, and the food wasn't too bad (and cheap too! :D). After dinner, Kevin took me to the bank so I could get money for AX, and then we met up with everyone at Volcano Tea...where we talked until they kicked us out ><' Once the place closed, we went back to Kevin's house and played some Guitar Hero 3 in his garage ...and had a couple of epic battles with some giant moths (...because everyone seems to be phobic of them or something *shrug*). After playing for a while, we all sat on the porch talking until going home around 1.

And...today, I think we're all going to the mall to try and find job openings for Kevin and I (...but mostly for Kevin) 8D

Continuing on with what's been up since i've been not...very...online as of late haha

On Sunday, Kevin came to my house for dinner.

Monday, was Tracy's graduation :D Kevin and I met up with Jacky and Tina at Cal Poly. We ended up with seats wayyy in the back because we didnt arrive early enough >.>' It was a nice day outside, but the sun came out halfway through and i fried haha. Jacky ended up ninja-ing his way up to the mob of graduates to get pictures. After the graduation, we met up with Tracy and her parents, and they very generously took us all out to BJs for lunch :D. After lunch, Kevin and I ended up coming back to my house for dinner (...which we didn't eat very much of because we were still so full ><' )

And Tuesday I just bummed at Kevin's house.

Wednesday, I went shopping with my mom

Thursday Tracy, Kevin, Linda, Jonathan, KevinS, Joseph, Amy, and I all went to Lyns and we played Rockband! :D

On Friday, Kevin, KevinS, Jonathan, Tracy, Linda, her little bro Jon, and I went to Little Tokyo. We walked around for a bit, and had lunch at Sansuitei before meeting up with Linda's friend from Berkeley and ended up going to the Griffith Observatory (well...except for Tracy because she had to go home :[ ). After the Observatory, Linda and Jon went home and the rest of us met up with Michael at GuiLin noodle house...where we could have died -_-' We ordered chive and pork dumplings, and started eating them. KevinS said that his was cold, and after biting into his second one, realized that the pork was still red and raw inside. Kevin and Jonathan dissected theirs and found that they were still raw too, so they told the waitress. And....she basically said that that's just the way they're marinated and they're fine -_-' Kevin and Jonathan tried arguing (since they're the only ones that spoke cantonese with us), but she wouldn't budge, so we just paid and left >.>' We met up with Joseph and Amy and ended up going to Kevin's house (KevinS and Jonathan left at that point) and we just sat around talking.

Saturday, Kevin and I just stuck around his house until around 4:30 before going with my family to Todai at the Santa Anita mall for fathers day dinner :D After dinner, we met up with Michael, Joseph and Amy, and went to Lyn's house where we played board games all night until like 3 =_='''

And...now that it's Sunday Kevin is over for dinner, and then maybe we'll go to Fosselmans for some ice cream or something before he takes me home =D

since i've been home, i've either been out, been at my mom's house with no internet, or at my grandparents' house where the internet dies after dark (wtf >.>' ).

But anyways, massive update here i come haha

erm... Tracy, Michael, Joseph, Amy, and Kevin came to UCLA to visit on Friday the 5th. I took them around the school, and i think Amy probably hated me by the end of it (...all the stairs, and hills, and stuff haha). We walked around the school, and went to the Fowler museum :) But by the time we finished that and got to the dorms, they had to go home :(
Kevin stayed behind for the weekend though (yay)

my first final (my japanese final)  was that saturday at 9am. After the final, Kevin and I went with some of my classmates to Sawtelle where there's a bunch of Japanese food restaurants and got some food at this place called the Blue Marlin. Food was good, but expensive :(

Sunday, we walked to the botanical gardens and around westwood for a while, and I worked on my final paper due for ling on monday.

Monday we woke up super early to go to Santa Monica because I had to go somewhere so I turned in my ling paper, and we took the bus over. Things didn't turn out how I'd hoped however, and the place was closed, so we just wandered around until lunchtime and came back because I had a study session with classmates at Andrew's apt for our Postwar Japan Lit class at 6:30. It only took me about an hour to finish the final and then I came back, got dinner and finished packing. My mom came to pick us up around 10:30. It was pretty sad when I had to leave :(

On Tuesday, Kevin and I met up with Kevin S for dinner and ended up going to Kevin S's house and watching stupid videos and talking

Thursday, Kevin x2, Tracy, Linda, and I went to LA and did this art gallery walk thing. It was kind of interesting just walking up and down the street and into different galleries and stuff. We got ramen at Hanaichimonme in Little Tokyo before heading back and going to Lyn's house, where everyone played Guitar Hero for a bit before they left, after which time Lyn helped Kevin and I prepare spaghetti sauce and our green bean casserole.

On Friday we had a potluck at Garvey Ranch. I got to Kevin's house early so we could cook up our food, but the green bean casserole REFUSED TO FINISH COOKING (...that's what we get for using fresh green beans *sigh*) It took an hour and a half when we estimated an hour, so we were almost an hour late to the potluck -.-' Kevin had to leave around 4 for his sister's graduation, Jacky had to leave for his cousin's graduation, and Joseph and Amy had to leave for her birthday dinner, so the rest of us went to Tracy's house and then to Target until Jonathan took me home around 10:30 :)

Saturday, Jonathan took Kevin and I to Santa Monica to meet up with Amy, Joseph and Amy's friends Yoie and James to hang out for Amy's birthday. we got there first, and I went off to attempt to do what I was trying to do on Monday (success this time! :D). We all ate at Fatburgers for dinner, and wandered around the promenade and pier until Joseph and Amy had to take her friends back home. Michael came, and Joseph and Amy came back and we all went to Bubba gump for dinner. Yum!...but expensive ;~;

So. I forgot to mention what happened when I came back on Sunday.
The first thing I heard from both Priscilla and Stephanie was the Priscilla got a Q-tip stuck in her ear.... >.o'
She was cleaning her ear out and when she took the thing out, the cotton tip was still in her ear. So... I got to listen to her complain all night about how much it hurt D=. She went to the doctors in the morning, and she said that they tried 5 different tweezers on her and couldn't get it out (and that it hurt reallly bad when they were trying). They were going to give her a referall to an ear doctor, but found one more pair of tweezers to try, and managed to get it out, YAY =D

Anyways, today was fun! :D
Chi bought a cheesecake for our J100C class Professor (and wouldn't let any of us help pay *shakes fist* >[ ) and Andrew and Jay brought drinks, while Mabel and Melissa (I think) brought utensils and plates (...i helped steal the utensils from one of our take out food areas the day before though 8D )
The first thing I heard when I got to class was Sensei asking wtf all the stuff was (cooler, cake box, etc haha). So Jay told her we had some food stuffs for the class, so she cut down our class time by 15 minutes to give us a chance to eat =D
She was so suprised and happy when Chi showed her the cake, because it says Sensei, Suki! (Teacher, we love you!) on it ^-^

hrm... last week at school was...interesting haha.
I stayed up until 4:30 working on my essay tuesday night since it was due wed, but fell asleep, and when i woke up it was 8:30 (and class starts at 8am ><" ), so I didn't get to class until sometime after 9, AND I didn't finish my essay, but luckily it was due Wed at midnight, so I was still able to finish it =D

Thursday, I went to go see Stephanie, Diana, and Priscilla perform for their music of mexico class, i dragged fakeplasticblah along, it was pretty fun!...but no one said hi to me except for priscilla (who i totally didn't see after the show), stephanie and stephanie's friend -_-''' 

Friday I went to Kevin's and we got lunch from Yi Mei bakery (omnom their sticky rice was nummy *g*)  Later on we ended up going with Tracy, Joseph, and Amy to Frys since Tracy needed to get an SD card, and she wanted to buy Guitar Hero World Tour. Well...she got those, and Joseph ended up buying Amy a 32'' tv for her birthday O_O''
After Frys we went to Tracy's house and messed around with Guitar Hero for a bit before having to leave. We ended up waiting at Kevin's until Michael was free, and ate at Noodle City for some nummy pho :3 Since we hadn't had any ice cream for a while, we all ended up going to Fosselmans before heading to Kevin's house. Michael decided to leave then, since he had to be back at BotCon early in the morning, so the rest of us ended up just talking until around 1 or so when we all scattered for home XD

Saturday, Kevin and I went to this little place called Noodle Young for lunch, it was really cheap, just over $10 for both of us, i think we'll be going there more often XD. After that we went to Blockbuster and Hollywood video because I was trying to find the original Japanese version of Shall We Dance, but they didn't have it and I ended up with Akira Kurosawa's Ran instead :( After that we met up with Tracy and headed over to Lyn's house to play some Rockband :D Eventually Joseph and Amy came, but Tracy had to leave at 5 :( We were all hungry by 6 or so, and once Michael got back from BotCon, we all went to Twoheys for dinner (omnom burgers :3~) Once we came back, we tried out Guitar Hero:World Tour for a little bit before people decided that they liked RockBand better and set that back up...and which we ended up playing until almost 2 (as usual haha)

Anyways, this week is going to be BUSYYYYYYYY Aughhh, but after next Monday night I'm DONE for the school year :D

So... Sunday night, since it was going to be my great aunt's last night here, she made a HUGE amount of food. We had steak, ribs, chicken, cucumber chicken salad, pickled veggies, sushi, ...other stuff that I can't remember i'm sure XD
So, my uncle jon and kevin came over to join in the feasting, and then after cleaning up, we ended up finding and looking at some olddd pictures. There's even one of my mom and dad when they were...probably younger than I am now haha. We also found one of my grandparents when they were...probably in their 20's as well :) My aunt framed it and put it in the living room next to a more recent picture of them. ^_^
around 9 or so, Kevin and I decided to leave, and we ended up just hanging out at his house (where we ended up falling asleep...too much food = massive food comaaaa D; ) until he took me home around 1:30

Today, since it's memorial day, the family went hakamairi...er...to go visit the cemetary and put flowers on my great grandparents' and my great-grandma/grandma's graves. My aunt forgot her wallet when we went to the florist, but saw some fake flowers, and ran back inside. When she didn't come out my mom was like "...maybe she's buying a flower or two from her" ...and i asked her with what money?! so...my mom ran back inside and ended up having to lend my aunt the money for the fake flowers (on top of the two really pretty boquets my grandpa had bought). After we came home we went shopping and then spent the whole afternoon making sukiyaki and miso soup for dinner. My aunts' son was going to pick her up and take her to his house for the night before taking her to the airport in the morning. He...still did but he had to fly back from Oregon to pick her up >.o' It turns out his wifes' sister-in-law (who was only like 46/47) had a heart attack and passed away on thursday. I guess she'd been at home, and her kids were all at work/school wherever, and once the older one got out of work, picked up the next oldest and on the way home when they passed the middle school saw their sibling still there at 4 (when school gets out at 2 and their mom was supposed to pick her up) So...they picked her up and i guess when they got home they found her? *shudder* so traumatic, for everyone =/
so..I guess his family had gone up to oregon, and he'd had to come back to pick up my aunt and take care of his parents-in-law since they're old and sickly D:
Anyways, Kevin came over for dinner again (since he'd never had home-cooked sukiyaki or miso?) and then accompanied me back to school :D

but yeah... i guess my aunt is off to canada tomorrow, and she keeps side-stepping our attempts to ask her to come back to California (where her whole family lives -_-' ), especially when she said she'd help my grandpa out (Yeah, so move back, we basically have an empty room since i don't really live there anymore -_-' ). It was nice having her around the last 3 months. She kept the house lively and really kept my grandpa company since my grandma's been gone...(and she kept us all well fed with nummy foods too haha)
...now without her, we're stuck with my mom and i trying to figure out how to cook (...since neither of us cook, and we never really got a chance to learn or try out stuff....the next few months while we experiment should be...........special >.o;; ), and it's going to be lonelyyyy since it's jsut my grandpa and uncle during the week...and my uncle doesn't really ever come out of his room except for dinner DD:

...and now, since i slept so much the night before, i'm just not tired enough to sleep yet D:
...and tomorrow I have to do my paper for my post-war lit class that's due on wednesday morning *sigh* =_='

So... on Friday I hung out with Tracy from around 11:30 or so. We got some viet sandwiches and went back to her house and bummed around talking and playing guitar hero until Kevin came around 4:30 when Tracy had to leave to go to a banquet thing.

After that, Kevin and I went and got some tea from TenRen and stayed at his house until it was time to leave around 7:30 for our reservations at 8 at Madeleines in Pasadena. Once we got there we were seated in this dimly lit room that, amazingly wasn't all that crowded (there were only 3 or 4 other tables besides us). We ordered and decided on the fois grois for our appetizer, and kevin got duck while i got a steak dish, and for dessert we got a frozen lavender souffle with a a scoop of granita on the side with loquat syrup and lavender :D
Our dinner was pretty good, but it was so expensive $95.05 with tax, so we ended up leavin $120 with tax and tip. The service was really good though. All through the meal, the servers really never went near the tables to ask how things were, but they would flit around at the entryway to the room to see if water was low or people seemed to be in need of something and only then would they actually come in and attend haha (it was kind of cool for things to be so hands-off and yet still attentive XD)

anyways, today i bummed at Kevin's house and now, after dinner with Joseph, Amy, and Michael, we're all at Lyn's house playing Rockband :D

it's been a busy past couple of days haha.
On Tuesday I went with Priscilla to Native foods for dinner to get some vegan food :)
Priscilla got a ranch club sandwich, and I got a portobello and sausage sandwich
my "sausage" was flavourless, and looked like a piece of bread...on top of my bun D:

yeah...i didn't really like what I got, and thought that Priscilla's was a lot tastier(it had nummy fake bacon :D)

yesterday, after class I went to a workshop thing on grad school for ALC majors/minors. But before that, there were a couple of hours in between class and the workshop, so I went with Chi and Mabel down into Westwood. First Chi had to stop back at her dorm so Mabel and I went to Ackerman to wait, where I got nummy nummy shaved ice for 55c (because I had a $3 off coupon YAY). We sat there forever and I finished my shaved ice before Chi came back XD. After she returned, we went to a little boutique so that Mabel could return a dress she'd bought that she didn't like, then went to this bakery called Elyse that has nummy pastries...except that a slice of cake is like $5 (i got a slice of hazelnut cake, and it set me back %5.03 haha D; ). After getting my piece of cake we went and got boba at bobaloca before heading back to Royce for the presentation, which was quite informative. Except...that the giy in my first class who NEVER. SHUTS. UP. was there, and apparently that's not the only place he never shuts up either, because he asked sooo many questions (some of them were kind of common sense questions too -.-' ). So...after that we went to Ackerman to look at the sale stuffs, but there wasn't really anything, so we parted and went our separate ways.\

Today...
I went with Diana to CVS and bought a hair straightener, new razor (i really needed a new one, all my ones here are rusty because I forget to take them out of the shower :( ), and some nailpolish and makeup supplies that i needed for tomorrow :)

oh. odd thing today. so far getting my meal tickets has been ok. except for the first one. and the last one. heh. this time, i gave the girl at the register the ticket and she didn't know what to do so she had to call a manager. She talked to this guy in white, who i guess wasn't the manager? (because she also had to leave at the same time to go to her other job across the way) and I had to wait foreverrrr. The guy was really nice though. ...kind of creepily nice ._.' He was like
"Sooo how are you doing today?"
"Ok"
"Just ok?! not angry or anything right?"
"Nope, just hungry"
"So, what was it you wanted"
"I was hoping to get the clam chowder"
"What? You said you were hungry? That's just an appetizer! You don't want a turkey sandwich or something?"

so...today is May 18th, which means Kevin and I have been together for two years now
YAY! I'm glad we've made it this far, and don't have any intention on stopping anytime soon, and I'm sure he feels the same way :)
...sadly,  at the moment he's more than likely just about passed out from his three finals and paper that he had today ='[
since we're both at school and all, we're planning on celebrating together on friday, but we haven't yet decided on a place to go ><'

i not only forgot my bruincard (my school id card), but also my room card at home >.>'
and... i need my bruincard to eat and get into my building -_-' *sigh*
i got a new keycard, but there is no way i'm spending ANOTHER $25 on another id card >.>'
so... i'm toughing out the getting into the building thing (which basically means waiting until someone comes by that can let me in) and using the temp tickets that they give out if you misplace your card. the only thing is you only get 6 for the year. so... i figured if i buy lunch on my long days (m/w) when i'm on campus, then i have just enough tickets to get me through lunch on t/th and dinner every day 8D
...only thing is, as i said before, i'm an idiot -_-'
i woke up later than i should have and in my rush to get to class on time, i forgot to bring my wallet ><'
luckily, i was able to borrow money from Chi (YAY :D )

for dinner, i got a meal ticket from Rieber front desk, but the guy neglected to tell me to SIGN my name and CIRCLE the meal period...
so...I went all the way down to Puzzles and the girl there rejected me...thus making me run back up a bunch of flights of stairs and wait until someone else went into Rieber Hall so that I could ask the guy, and have him say oops, and have me sign, and then run back down to actually get my food *shakes fist* D:<

lets see...what else happened today...
OH. Mabel (she's in my Japanese and Japanese Ling class) almost off-ed Kawanishi Sensei >.o
when we were leaving class, she was holding the door, but didn't see anyone coming out so she let go ...with sensei really close to the door D:
...luckily I was able to catch the door before it slammed into sensei. That would not have been good if Mabel had smacked her in the face with it, those things are HEAVY >.o''
...we also had a quiz for our next class (with the same prof) so... it'd almost seem like LETS OFF SENSEI SO SHE CAN'T GIVE US THE QUIZ 8DD (I know she would never actually think that we'd do that, but still. XD)

and now... i should be back to working on hw XD

This weekend felt really odd...

Anyways, after Tracy had come back from work, and Kevin had returned from school, we hung out at Kevin's for a little bit talking before going to cha for tea for some tea. We came back and talked for some more before Tracy had to leave for home. After she'd left we just bummed a bit until Michael called us and told us he was already at Foofootei (where we'd decided to eat dinner) so we met up with him, and Joseph and Amy and had some nummy ramen :D After that we went back to Kevin's house and walked around Play Days for a while before sitting around watching random crap on tv (except Kevin and I spent like half of the time sitting outside talking because he was freaking out about all of his finals on Monday *huggies* :[ ). We also got to look at the new hole Kenneth put in the wall because he thought it'd be a good idea to Sparta kick the wall...again -_-'''

On Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house and we got some food from J&S (the mexican food place we tried to go to last saturday before the whole cemetary fiasco >.<' ) and brought it back to his house. We were going to go to Lyn's house, but she called saying she wasn't feeling well so we scrambled to make other plans...and failed miserably ><' We finally ended up meeting up with Michael at Golden Deli for some viet food, and Lyn called saying she was feeling better so after dinner, Michael, Kevin, me, Joseph and Amy went to Lyn's house and played some Rockband with Lyn, Barb, and Barb's cousin Drake. Kevin had to leave at 10:30 though to head back to school ;~; Also, somewhere in there I started feeling a bit nauseous and had a stomachache...I think whatever stomach bug Kevin had in the afternoon passed to me that evening, but I started feeling better by the end of the night. The rest of us stuck around until a bit after 2 before going home so Lyn could rest up ^^;

Anyways, today I'm just sitting at home waiting to go back to school...and then i should probably check and see what I have to finish for this week 8D

Yesterday was BUSY! After getting out of class and getting lunch I went with Diana and Priscilla to Pico mall because Diana needed a dress for her cousin's wedding. We went to a bunch of different stores, but thinngs either just didn't look very good, or were wayyyy too expensive X_X
So finally we gave up, and stopped at Ross on the way back. All of us ended up finding a couple of dresses we liked (and for both dresses, paid way less than half of one dress at the mall :D) So..now I have a couple more formal-ish black dresses...but I still want a few more casual ones that I can wear out just casually *sigh* eventually haha. It's really hard to find clothes that fit me :( I want a full length dress, but it's kind of depressing when they're hanging down to the ground, and the dress is taller than you are ><' And...well...the current style where there's a seam under the bust...doesn't work for me very well either! the top portion of fabric usually isn't enough to cover....well...anything on me *sigh* So I was really happy when I fotwo dresses that actually fit pretty well :D One I bought because I can wear it to family gatherings, and the other one...maybe not so much, definitely a special occasion dress, it's a little too low cut to wear around family ha..ha...

But ANYWAYS after the mall, I had a grand total of like 20 minutes to eat and head down to Ackerman to meet up with Jay, Chi, and Chi's friend...Jocelyn? to go watch Star Trek After we'd all gathered, we walked down to the theatre and got in line to buy tickets. I had a voucher for a free ticket from when I gave blood, so I used that...except it wasn't going through and the ticket guy had to call someone else and mess with the computer for a bit before it finally worked. And in the meantime, this old guy behind me jokingly said "Omg, you broke the machine didn't you! D: Now no one will be able to watch the movie and it'sallll yourrr fault DDD:" -_-'' But finally the guy got the machine to spit out my ticket so yay :D
The theater is only has one screen, so the seating area was pretty big, but also pretty empty (yay for getting good seats XD). I thought the movie was pretty good! They messed with a lot of the backstory, but worked it into the story well so that it made sense and all. The only thing i hought felt really out of place was the Spock/Uhura thing. I told my mom about Spock and Uhura sucking face and she was like ...wtf. that doesn't sound right ._.''''' Heh. After the movie we all went to the boba place across the street to get something to drink for a bit before walking back to school. My mom picked me up shortly after, but i didn't have any internet when I got home :(. Luckily the internet came back on sometime this morning so yay...but i'm really starting to get pissed off at how unreliable it is :/

Sunday, I went to the eye doctors to follow up with my contacts. I like the ones I'm using now (Acuvue Oasys) so I decided to keep these and got my prescription and everything. After that my mom and I went to my grandparents' house for dinner, and then she took me back to UCLA...and on the way my uncle called and told me i'd forgotten my laptop charger (FUCK) so...now I don't really have use of my laptop this week (and we all know how attached I am to it, especially here at school where there's nothing else to entertain myself with ><' ).

Today...didn't make my already sucky beginning of the week any better -_-' I overslept and missed my first class, and then had to go print out stuff (my handout for my presentation, and then our reading materials for japanese) So... I went to Rieber's learning center, and the printer was down. Dammit, I thought to myself, and then headed over to Covelle to print instead. And...their printers were also down (WTFH?!) And by then I was running late so I had to go straight to class >>' Luckily we didn't have anything due, and I just shared with my classmate Chi so *phew*. After that class was ling...in which i had a presentation.
...except...
i didn't. -_- it turns out my presentation was for Wednesday and not for Monday (like all the other presentations were) so I rushed for nothing...but at least it's done since it would have been kind of hard to do without my computer (since i had to type a lot of japanese,and i doubt that these computers here in the lab i'm in atm have japanese writing capabilities). *sigh*

so...last week was pretty busy, and this week won't really be any better since I have a linguistics paper due on Wednesday that I haven't started on yet , and I have a kanji quiz tomorrow ><'

I hope I did  ok on my midterm last week. hopefully sometime this week i'll get my grade back >.o

anyways, Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday was time to relax! =D
Erm... on Thursday I had gone with fakeplasticblah  to Ackerman so she could get some $5 soap, and what happens instead? I end up buying a $45 Bare Minerals makeup kit, and she got a set of their Rocker eye makeup how-to kit -_-'

Friday, Joseph and I went with Tracy so she could have passport pictures taken. We ended up going to Fro's parents' shop, and then after that went to CVS so i could get some eyeshadow (since the kit i got only has foundation/powder stuffs and i needed some color stuffs 8D).
After that, we went to the post office so Tracy could mail stuff, and then went to her house to play Guitar Hero until Michael and Kevin showed up.

Once they did, we went and got tea from Tenrens and hung out for a while until we had to depart from Tracy :(
After deciding what area we wanted to eat in, we retrieved Amy and went to this little place near Green Zone for dinner. The food was actually pretty good...except for the ma po tofu which was greasy and spicy as all hell D; (everything else got mostly demolished...but most of that was still there =/ ). After dinner we went to nubi's for froyo! 8D On the way to Amy's house after though, we got stopped at a drivers license checking checkpoint >.>' Of course we had no problems and off to Amy's where we ended up talking until it was about 12:30 and Michael had to go home (since he had to wake up at 7 in the morning).

On Saturday, Kevin and I got food from Mama's Kitchen and then basically spent the afternoon just bumming back at his house. Around 6 Joseph came over and he drove us to Michael's house. From there, Michael drove to Albertsons so we could get Lyn some pineapple juice and then got Amy and headed to Lyn's house where Lyn and Barb had made some nummy salad and bread and lasagna :3
After eating, we all did the usual and played Rockband until around 2am. Once we left, Michael drove Amy home, then drove to his house, where Joseph took Kevin and I to Kevin's house, and then Kevin took me home =D

and today I went back to they eye doctors to get my glasses! I'll post pics of them later, because i'm lazy and should be doing something useful like studying XD I also asked for a different kind of contacts since the Acuvue 2s I tried out last week were drying out (because I apparently have slightly dry eyes ><'). We'll see if these Acuvue Oasys contacts are better, I have a contact check-up next week to see if I like these ones.s

and now, back to studying and "stalking" a most interesting conversation ^_~

So. tomorrow I have my midterm for Postwar Japan Through Literature. At. 8am. YAY (or not haha). After that I have to write a one page summary of a 24 minute movie called Christmas 2040 for Japanese. And after that, we have a quiz for Japanese Linguistics. >.<'

Today was pretty busy too. after class and getting lunch with Diana, I went (and dragged Diana with me) to the Co-op housing down the street from the school to turn in an application for housing for next year. I reallllllly hope I get in, because otherwise i'm screwed. royally, since Diana isn't coming back for fall quarter, priscilla is probably getting the co-op housing for fall (since she got it for summer), and I have no idea wtf stephanie is doing >.>' so...yeah. *crosses fingers and toes and eyes* X_X

After dropping that off, I came back and tried to read one of the books I hadn't finished for my midterm, and I fell asleep! (again. I've fallen asleep every damned time I try to read that book). I woke up about an hour later and realised that my classmate Chi hadn't called me yet (and she was supposed to call me like an hour before) because we were supposed to go to Andrew's apartment to have a study session for the midterm. She talked to him and we decided a time to meet so at 5 I met up with Chi and Melissa and we walked to Andrew's apartment on Midvale to meet up with him and Jay. (they're all in my Japanese class, and everyone except Jay is in the postwar class, but Jay had it a year ago so he stayed to help haha). We managed to go through all of the discussion questions, and then stopped because Andrew made chicken pasta for dinner *OMNOM* after eating and yammering about random stuff though we all disbanded to come back and study some more haha.

and now i'm back, and should be watching that video for Japanese (and of COURSE this week is the week I forget my good headphones at home and only have the pair that only work in one ear *sigh*

So... it's been a pretty busy weekend ^^;

On Friday I went with Joseph to Big 5 and then RiteAid so he could get a backpack and some sunscreen for our trip to Eaton Canyon. After that we got food at Dorados then went back to his house so he could install Oblivion on my comp while we waited for everyone so we could depart.
After Tracy came back from Arcadia we went to her house and played some Guitar Hero, and once Kevin returned from school we picked him up, then Michael and we were off to the Canyon. This time we all brought our cameras and used them! And Joseph stopped every couple of steps to take pictures of plants and such XD. We reached the falls and had a snack and snapped some pictures and then this guy and his two dogs (a golden retriever, and a...some small floppy eared thing) came and were playing in the water and stuff, and then they got out, went right to, and stood over, Kevin and my backpack's and SHOOK themselves, soaking them >.>''' We finished sitting around, headed back down the trail and left for Michael's house so he and Kevin could pick up his car and get Amy, while Tracy, Joseph and I went to get Tracy's forgotten phone/jacket from her house and all met at Savoy for dinner. After dinner we went back to Amy's house and talked for a while until Tracy had to leave...and then talked some more until it was like 2 in the morning. By then Kevin had a headache, so Michael had to drop me off, and then Joseph and Kevin off at Kevin's house so Joseph could get his car and go home.

Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house around 12:30 and we bummed around, had lunch (that my mom got from Pepe's), and watched some drama eps before Joseph came over, we got Amy and Michael, and went to a viet place called Vietnam House for dinner. After dinner, we went to Fosselmans and then headed to Lyn's house to play RockBand2 with Lyn and Barb until about 2am. Poor Scooter had his ears tortured some more by the boys' "drunken" singing (even though they were the ones who were perfectly sober and hadn't consumed any alcohol, they...as usual, were a ton more crazy than us girls who did have a bit ._.' ). Ah well, at least everyone sans poor Scootie-pants(...who was MUCH too enamored of Joseph ^-~) had some fun =D

And today. Kevin came over and went with my mom and I to Linden Optometry so that we could get new glasses before she gets laid off and doesn't have insurance anymore. I got a new pair of frames, and got myself some contacts! woot =D Hopefully the glasses will be in in a couple of weeks and I can go pick them up, and then have my follow-up consultation for my contacts ^^

Early last week, it was FREEZING like, it was noon and still probably 60 degrees outside.
And then around Thursday, it got HOT. Like...in the 90s hot.
And ever since, it's been scortching. After going to the Arboretum and going to the Cherry Blossom Festival over the weekend, I'm a good ctrek ouple of shades darker haha D;

Monday when I started my trek to class at 7:30 it was already starting to get hot(and I got blinded by the sun reflecting off of the concrete in front of Bruin Cafe) But now today. It's COLD again. Not as cold as last week, but it's only supposed to get to mid 70s (after being in the 90s and almost 100 degrees >.o')

Not that I'm complaining about the cold, because I'd much prefer it cold than scortching outside, but I still have to say

anyways, it's almost the LA Times Book Festival. The past two weeks all the workers on campus have been in overdrive cutting grass, trimming and shaping the hedges and trees and bushes and stuff. And since the start of this week they've been putting up all of the little tents all over the grass near Royce Hall, and elsewhere as well as retouching up paint on some of theoutdoor stuffs. I didn't realize that it was the Festival of Books until I saw Lyn's post about it this morning (and until they actually started putting up signs on the booths and stuff)

...makes for a pain in the butt getting around the school though haha. There are trucks in the way that make it annoyng to get to places -_-'

I think it'd be interesting to see the hordes of people that will show up (but a pain for me to get  back hrm.... maybe I should have my mom leave for UCLA a bit later... ) D;

Today is also Andy's 21st birthday (he's my floor RA). So... we went to Ralphs and got him a...$2 cupcake -_-' <--that was my face when Stephanie and Diana picked it out...but whatever >.>'
But...when we got back to his room, even though Diana asked him if he would be around he's not there at the moment so...we wait.

and now. I go back to studying for my keigo quiz tomorrow YAY *dies* >.>'

So... Monday for my Japanese 100C class, we had our mock job interviews. Just about everyone in my class came dressed up (at least enough to not look like total slobs haha)

Two representatives from Pasona (a temp agency) came to our room, so the whole class was put in the room next door to wait. Everyone was freaking out before hand "what if i forget to say shitsureishimasu (excuse me) before i enter, before I leave, before I sit down, etc" "what if i forget to take the business card with two hands" "what if i forget to say hai (yes) after every question?!?!", what if i forget to bow?!"  AHHHHH!! ...and all of that on top of the normal, what if i don't understand a question/can't answer a question well jitters haha D;

Luckily, as people started coming out, they said it wasn't sooo bad, and since I was next to last, I had a lot of reassurance from people that the interviewers were nice and to calm down and breathe XD.

I went in freaking out, but went in together with Mabel at the same time, so at least we got to freak out in the hallway together instead of alone XD (btw, dramatic__  , you know her right? O_o? ). We both went in together, and went to our respective interviewers. Mine was really nice, and most of the questions she asked were easy to answer. There was only one that I didn't really know what she said, as i didn't really hear her and only caught the word communication and a couple of other words ...so I bs-ed an answer, but she didn't look at me too funny, so...hopefully i didn't answer something totally crazy (like that one time on my midterm last quarter >.>' ).

I'm glad that Kawanishi sensei prepared us pretty well, even having us practice in class talking about our weakpoints and stuff. I heard from one of my classmates that went to visit during the other class' interview that not very many of them came dressed up, and that they didn't seem as well prepared ^^;

I got my results back today and I managed to get 20/20 points (YAY) but did get a few comments like, I had a few times where I didn't say hai before answering a question, and i guess i had my elbows on the table a bit? and i was "clicking my tongue" ?! I have no idea when/how i was doing that ._.' Oh well, at least i got full points for content and most of the body language things ^^;

but anyways YAY
...and now... our class is starting in on keigo (all that honorific stuff you use when talking to bosses and stuff) BLEGH. I suck at it. Badly. *stabbity*

...and so I should get back to my worksheet on the stuff =_='

Friday was Tracy's birthday dinner. She picked me up around 11 and we went to the mall to hang out before she went to her tutor meeting (which I passed the time by sitting outside on my computer haha D; ). After that, we went to Kevin's house and went to Evikes to get her her birthday present (a mask and sling for her BB shotgun :D ) and meet up with Michael. After that, we went to Half & Half Tea House for drinks and then we split with the guys going to Kevin's house and Tracy and I to hers to wait for her friend Jennifer and pick up Audrey so we could go to dinner. Jacky called and said no one was at Kevin's house (which is where Tracy told him to meet up) and so came over to Tracy's house, and finally at like 6:15 Jennifer showed up (we were supposed to be at the restaurant at 6:30 D;) Luckily, Michael, Kevin, Joseph, and Amy had already left and gotten to the restaurant by 6:30 so woot. We parked in a parking structure a couple of blocks away, and ran into Nhung on the way out of the elevator. After talking to her for a couple of minutes, we raced over to Cafe Bizou and got there around 7 or so and sat down, but Emily still hadn't shown up (...and she'd called at around 6, but then never answered our calls because she was driving). We waited for a while and decided to order, and leave Emily a menu. She called and it had sounded like she was close, but she was still on the freeway and didn't arrive until sometime past 7:30, right when our food arrived D:. so...we all ate, and after dinner Emily had to go, but the rest of us stuck around for a bit more to talk and stuff, and squabble over the bill. Somehow we were short a bunch of dollars and I don't understand how (but... I assume that Emily only leaving enough for dinner and not tip threw us off, and trying to figure out how much for everyone who was pitching in to pay for tracy's meal wasn't correct either... hrm...) But yeah, Amy ended up absorbing the cost (THANK YOU omfg D: ). After dinner, Tracy, Audrey, Jacky and Jennifer left, and the rest of us headed over to Amy's house to watch Amadeus before going home :)

Saturday was just a Kevin and me day ^^ We went to the Los Angeles Arboretum (it's a foresty park place) and walked around for a while looking at all of the plants, and watching the peacocks, squirrels, geese, and other animals...frolic? haha. It was soooo hot though, and we fried in the sun, but it was a lot of fun, and even though it's a month early, it  just felt like the right atmosphere, so I gave Kevin his anniversary present in the rose gardens (I got us matching engraved tungsten carbide rings ^^' )
we walked around some more (...trekked along a nicely NOT shaded path is more like it haha) until we'd gone around the whole park and finally went back to Kevin's house to collapse from exhaustion for a good couple of hours. We had planned to get some sandwiches for dinner, but instead ended up eating whatever Kevin's mom had cooked for dinner (so good omnom) and then gone to Fosselmans to get ice cream for dessert. We got a prepacked half-gallon of chocolate raspberry mousse, and I got my mom a prepacked pistachio. Funny story with that, Kevin reached over to get the pistachio out of the case, but I told him to leave it alone...and while we were deciding what to get, someone reached over and took the pistachio! D; He finally got to have a "Why didn't you listen to me?!" moment...which puts us at like... 1-50 XDD but luckily they had another in the back. We dropped off the pistachio for my mom, and then went back to Kevin's house to eat ours. It was so nummy, and even Kevin's dad liked it...so I bet there won't be any left next weekend ><' lol
After dessert, we ended up watching a couple of hours of dramas before it was late and Kevin took me home. I did some laundry, and took a shower, and finally went to sleep around 4am or so =_='

Today...started pretty badly >.o. Kevin said he wanted to be at Empress Harbour for dimsum at 11... so I got up around 10 so I could get ready, but when I called him at 11 something, he was in the shower -_-' And after that, he HUNG UP on me when I was still talking to him ><' So... Michael finally picked me up at like almost 12, we went to Kevin's house to meet up with Kevin and Joseph and we got to the dimsum place at like 12:30 ...which by then I was pretty pissed off, -_-' (which...is probably an understatement. but I hate being late, and especially when it happens so often, i finally snapped). We had some nummy dimsum (although I left not very sated) and then went to Kevin's house where I ended up wandering off to the Cherry Blossom festival by myself and went over to talk to Tatsugawa-sensei (she was my teacher/the principal at my japanese school in high school!). Walked around some more, tailed Kevin, Joseph, and Michael (who were trying to find me since I'd kind of just left Kevin's house without saying anything), and eventually, ran into Connie, William, and Angela. We talked for a bit, and after Kevin and I went off and settled some stuff, we all headed off to what is now known as The Batcave! (aka, Kevin's garage, because it is so much cooler than outdoors). After a bit though, I had to go to my uncle's birthday dinner, so Kevin took me home and...my aunt basically kidnapped him D= So...he kind of had to tell everyone who was hanging out in his garage that he wasn't coming back so they'd have to leave =/ sorry guys!! D:
So...we ended up going to Taihei for dinner, and then came back to my house and had cake and stuff before everyone started leaving and my uncle Jon brought me back to school :D

I'm not looking forward to monday, at all! we have a mock job interview (well...except that you can turn in a resume if you want to) in Japanese! omg it's only the beginning of the 4th week, and already something this big! D: So, in class today, we went over some do's and don'ts going into the interview =X

Before class, I'd gone to the dining hall ith Stephanie and Missy for breakfast for the first time. Except... I didnt' know it was in De Neve (aka, the really far dining hall) and  i didn't bring my backpack with me, so I had to scurry back to my room to get my backpack, and then try and catch up to Thuy Vy on the way to class.

After class, i ate lunch with Diana and at our building, we decided to take the elevator, because it's a pain walking up so many steps and stuff and we were tired and full. Well, when we got out of the elevator onto the 2nd floor, as the doors were closing this guy was like "Next time, you should walk >(" ...uh...wtfh? S.T.F.U asshole >.>'

We pay just as much to live in the building as everyone else, so it's only fair that we should get the same priviledges, like oh, i dunno, USING THE DAMNED ELEVATOR IF WE WANT TO! -_-' After walking like a mile back from class with heavy books, binders, folders, laptops, etc, why does everyone else get to use the elevator and rest their feet, when we can't? that's bullshit. Those of us on the 2nd floor (and 3rd and 4th it would seem) are just as tired, and shouldn't be given shit for wasting what? a couple of seconds? to use the elevator -_-'

but anyways, after we got back, and Priscilla came back, I convinced fakeplasticblah to come with Priscilla and I to Santa Monica to walk around and shop. We took the bus and walked over to the MAC store so Priscilla could take back some makeup she bought yesterday (she ended up not liking the 3 eyeshadows she bought, and the overpriced brush, and got like $87 back). She returned it and bought a pink pigment powder stuff, and we all probably spent like an hour messing with the makeup. There was a tube of lipstick that I actually liked, but I don't wear lipstick often enough to warrant spending money on one, so after a while we left and went to Forever 21 and Urban Outfitter. We didn't really see anything though, and took the bus back home. After we got back, we got food from Puzzles and Bruin Cafe and fakeplasticblah  came over to our room to hang out and meet Torta (the tortoise) and Danny and Penny (the turtles). There was some drama between Stephanie and Priscilla, so we kind of tried to ignore that and talk about other random stuff haha. We ended up talking forEVER until she got tired and left at like almost 2 XD

and now... i should probably take a shower so that i'll be ready when my mom picks me up at 4 ._.'
