such a busy week =-=' (and all for one teacher too =-=; )...on the upside it means that i actually did stuff BEFORE the day they were due (...that, never happens. ever. )

I finished my classical hw for Marra's classical class on Monday (it was due wed)

Tuesday I stayed up till 3:30 finishing my powerpoint presentation (due on friday)

Wednesday, I promised myself that i would finish at least 5 pages of my 10 page paper on The Boom's Shima uta song, also due on Friday ...but I only managed to finish 3.5 before i went to sleep.

Which meant Thursday I spent forever finishing the damned paper (and tweaking my slides). Ended up staying up till 5:30-ish finishing up and having Adrienne help me proofread 8D (thanks!)...and then right when i was almost asleep, my roommate's alarm went off beause she has to wake up at 5:50 to get down to work kitchen duty at 6am -.-;
but i managed to just roll over and get to sleep finally haha

Woke up at 8:45 this morning and dragged myself to classical. ...and dreading that we'd have ANOTHER QUIZ (we had another pop one on Wednesday...that i didn't do so well on because i was working on stuff for Marra's poetry class instead of the classical class =-=; )

I kept nodding off in class haha, but managed to get through it ok. Apparently there are going to be TEN poems for our 3 hour final (instead of the 4 that we had for our...3 hour midterm -.-; ) apparently because we have 3 hours, we should be made to utilise the whole time D8
so much for relaxing until Tuesday to start cramming poems *sigh*

After class, Chi and I wandered around school for a bit until it was nearing 2 and i had to get to class while she went to her lab final. Somewhere in there I managed to give myself two different papercuts and on the way to class i got hit in the shoulder with the heavy door leading into Royce, thus spilling the drink i had in my hand >.>'

Went to Poetry class and turned in my essay (...10 pages that I dont even know are what Marra wants! ...because he didn't give us any guidelines -.- )
I got called second to do my powerpoint presentation. I think it went well =) Marra seemed to like it =D
and he was like a little kid asking what "deigo" (the okinawan word for Indian coral flower) and "uuji" (okinawan for sugarcane" were lol!

with 8 people, and the fact that we only got through 5 people in the whole 3 hour period, i thought we'd get out SUPER late, but we managed to get through everyone while only going over 25 minutes (...how sad it is when the class gets out 20 minutes late all the time that 25 minutes is just an "only")

I came back and had dinner with Joanna and now...I'm waiting for my mom to pick me up so i can go home! :D
which basically means i'm going to end up going to Kevin's house and probably passing out for a while -______-;

oi.

Lets see, Sunday night my computer was acting up, and so I set a virus scan and went to sleep. Monday when I woke up it said I had a worm, so I deleted it blah blah and my comp was working. Tuesday morning, when I turned it on it kept freezing on my desktop, but when I put it in safe mode with networking, i was still able to write my paper and access the internet.
I finished my paper at 3:30 but spent over an hour trying to fix my computer so I could print. ...no luck.

So Wed morning, I woke up early and printed at the library before going to discussion to turn in my paper, after which, my TA said we could leave. Chi and I ended up walking to the Iranian ice cream place and Ralphs before I headed back, packed up and got picked up by Lyn, Barb, Kevin and Scooter. We ended up getting burgers from Pharohs for dinner, and going back to Lyn's house to play some games :D Lyn also said she'd maybe be able to lend me her old laptop, but she remembered that the charger doesn't work and the comp doesn't really work either :(
Eventually, Kevin and I ended up leaving and going to cha for tea for some tea 8D

Thursday was Thanksgiving. Since I'd not really slept more than like 3 hours Tuesday night, and still stayed up until like 3 Wednesday, I slept till like noon =-=; Woke up, messed with my computer some more, and at 2pm, my mom came. I asked her when we were leaving for Claim Jumpers and she said in 20 minutes (gee thanks people for telling me when we're leaving -.-; ). Met up with the family and had some nummy prime rib :D. ...and then my Auntie Carole (she's my grandmas friend) said she wanted to pay...when it's usually my Auntie Yoko who pays for Thanksgiving, so they started fighting over who was going to pay, and went up to the register. My family pretty much put their bets on Auntie Yoko, but actually, it was Auntie Carole who won. It turns out, she basically came a week before and filled out papers so no one else could pay -_-'
...so now the family is threatening (since she's done this whole go to the restaurant beforehand and pay thing) to only tell her she's invited to dinner for *insert holiday* and not tell her where it is until the day of LOL.

Anyways, after dinner with my family, i headed over to Kevin's house and ended up watching Bolt with his family (while they nommed on their thanksgiving feast). Afterwards, we went downstairs to watch the Star Trek DVD I bought, and then I came up to nom on some turkey (since I'd eaten so early, by 11 i was hungryyy)

Friday, for lunch Kevin and I ate the rest of my prime rib, and had his turkey, ham, and rice cake for lunch before heading off to Lyn's house, getting Barb and going to CueBall to play pool. I...suck haha. Barb bought a pitcher of New Castle beer ...it's better than Bud Lite, but I still don't like the taste of beer at all XP
After playing for a couple hours, we went to McDonalds and got some noms (...McFlurry! om :3)
and headed back to Lyn's house for a while before getting hungry and going to King Torta for dinner. We ended up trying to piece together a 3D titanic puzzle for a while as Kevin flopped over and fell asleep -.-'
Eventually, Kevin and I ended up leaving and went to Tea Station for tea before bumming at his house for a while

Saturday, we met up with Tracy at TenRen in Temple city for tea(so much tea this weekend)! It was nice catching up since we haven't been able to hang out much with my sucky Friday schedule =-='' We ended up talking for a long time before Tracy had to leave. Went back to Kevin's house for a while and ended up having dinner there before going to Lyn's house where I pretty much only backed stuff up onto Lyn's harddrive (oi). Barb took my comp with her when she went home so her cousin could take a look at it, and her sister lent me her comp ( but i had to get a charger).

Today, I went to Best Buy, Frys and Office Depot with Kevin to look for a cheap charger...but they were all 60 dollars or more, so we ended up having to give up. But then I remembered that my friend Chi has an extra laptop and she said she'd lend it to me, so whee!
Kevin and I rushed over to Tokyo Lobby to meet up with my family for dinner, and then he headed off to drop off Christina's laptop, pick up Michel from the bus stop and get back to school, and I headed off to pick up Chi's laptop (yay!) and now i'm back at school trying to work on classical hw =-=

Saturday, we got foods at Noodle City! Their cornish hen is so nummy *g* After eating lunch we went to Target where I got a camera case for my new camera (I got a black/purple samsung tl225, it's the one that has an lcd screen on the front of the camera too! It's quite spiffy, i like it =D ). After that, we went back to Kevin's house until around 7 when we met up with Michael at some restaurant called Aunt Liangs. Their food was pretty nummy too! Michael was too tired to join us, but we ended up going to Lyn's house for a bit to play a bit of Bandhero with Lyn and Barb :D



Today, I had kitchen duty. I spent the WHOLE 3.5 HOURS cutting stuff. My wrist kind of hurts ;-; (had to cut cucumber, tofu, tomatoes, and candied apples. oi. )

and now... I should work on my paper

erm...the past week for me has been pretty ok.
classes, kitchen duty and all that.
as for kitchen duty, i grilled....a ginormous amount of i sausage (portuguese maybe? not really sure)
and on Wednesday, after class I went with Mabel and Chi to Santa Monica to shop and get some food at Bucca di Beppo. OMG their spicy shrimp Di Fravolo (...i think i'm butchering the name, but it's close haha >.>' ) is DELICIOUS! omnom.

anyways, enough about that, let me sum up what's been up the past couple of days on campus. It...hasn't been pretty.

Wednesday marked the first day of protests. I'm sure most of you don't know, but there has been talk about raising fees for California colleges (both the Cal States and the University of California universities). This is all amidst furlough days, cuts in budgets, hours, jobs, and programs throughout the systems.
So. Yesterday the UC Regents met at Covel Commons here at UCLA to propose a fee increase of 32%
Which means, fees will increast about 15% for next quarter, and the rest will be increased Spring quarter.

...suffice it to say, it was approved and students are not happy. During class yesterday all we heard were helicopters. Didn't know exactly what was going on, and didn't find out till I got home later. The protesters got rowdy, and the police ended up arresting, tasing, and hitting a bunch of people, or so I hear >.o'

Last night there was something called Crisis Fest. It had music, and speeches and stuff. I think students camped out? Also, students are bussing in from other UCs to help protest (are there protests going on at other UCs simultaneously? )

Anyways, this morning, on the way to class I had to pass Bruinwalk, and I ended up behind the parade of protesters marching from the dorm area down to Ackerman union. I made it to class on time, and on the way back went with Chi to Ralphs and avoided Bruinwalk like the plague.

Right now... I've been hearing the helicopters circling around, and there are news vans around too. And... it appears that a group of protesters took over Campbell hall.
...and apparently there was a group of them that also ran through the library yelling.

Anyways, after that we went back to Lyn's house and talked and played some Lego Rockband for a bit. Chris came after work to bum around for a bit but Kevin and I left just a bit after =X

On Saturday, I went with Kevin to Phoenix Inn for some nummy foods. Tried duck tongue for the first time. Not bad :D After that we went to Big Lots and Target because I left my slippers in the hotel last week and needed new ones. I got some at Target for $10 :D ... i hope they last till i can get the ones I normally get ._.' After shopping, we headed back to his house and bummed around until about 6:30 when we went to Daikokuya for dinner. nummy foodz! omnom! After that we headed to Lyn's house and played some Texas Hold 'Em and Apples to Apples with Lyn, Barb, Joseph, and Amy until about 11 when we went back to Kevin's house to watch the Up! dvd Lyn lent us :D
It...was really good :'O ...and then we ended up passing out and not waking up until like 4:30 in the morning oi D;

I went home and eventually fell asleep like an hour later, and then woke up at 8:30 to do laundry =_='
Went with my mom to Ralph's and then the library. We didn't end up getting flu shots because they ran out

Afterwards, I got dropped off at Kevin's house and we went to Ten Rens for some nummy tea (ok fine, i got a pudding teazer...which was basically custard blended with ice and garnished with caramel syrup...basically flan in a cup -.- )Tand then went to the food court next door to share a bowl of Tainan peddle noodles OMNOM quite nummy :3 We ended up going to the new Best Buy that opened up to oogle at stuff before going to the 99c store to oogle some more before returning to Kevin's house until it was time for me to eat dinner.

I came home, ate dinner, scrubbed pans (augh the rib sauce was so burnt on DD:), came back to school and scrubbed the bathrooms (yay I passed 8D ). And now...I'm trying to figure out what classes to sign up for when it's time to sign up for classes at 8am tomorrow =-='
bah.

Monday was boring. I went to kitchen duty, and that's about it. Kitchen duty was basically dishes for most of the time, with a sprinkling of wrapping up and bringing in the salad bar items, and breaking down boxes and cans to recycle =-='
After that, I basically just bummed in my room, read for jreligion class, and was basically non-productive

Tuesday, I woke up and went to my one measly class, came back for lunch, and bummed in the room. i wasn't that hungry for dinner, so i snagged food before dinner was over and brought it back up to the room ...it wasn't very good and i tossed it though. ended up opening up a trader joes garlic rice noodle bowl ...also not very good *sigh*. I went with Joanna to Ralphs so she could get some beer, and I ended up getting a pack of Fuzzy navels 8D ... i only drank one though, don't worry ^_~
...ever since, i've basically just been here bumming online since i dont have class tomorrow because of veteran's day.

joanna left to go with friends and vowed by the time she got back, i'd be asleep.
...which i obviously am not. HAH!
so she said she was leaving...and now she came back with some guy friend of hers to watch...something on her laptop -.-'
she's trying to thwart me! ... i refuse to be thwarted BWAHAHAH!

Friday: 1st day
Friday, I went to classical...where we had another pop quiz (...i'm just assuming we have quizzes on fridays from now on dammit >< )
Went with Chi to Ralphs and then to get boba before she left and i bummed in front of my class till it started.
Poetry class went on forever...20 minutes overtime again in fact =-='

Kevin said he'd be there at 5...but called at 5 saying he hadn't even left yet =_=''' Molly called and said she'd arrived so I rushed back so I could at least dump stuff in bags. We ate korean sushi she'd brought for dinner, and waited till Kevin finally arrived (with the duffel bag I needed). I shoved everything in and we were off!
Took forever to get to the LAX Hilton but we made it...at like 8 >.o' Met up with Derainna who helped us pick up badges and then rushed over to the concert hall (luckily only 1 band had played i think?) We managed to catch Rusika perform (yay Natz! :D). After Natz was a Hangry&Angry mini fashion show. Then this girl duo called Papillon played. They were actually pretty good! (considering the high pitched-ness of them). After their set, was another Hangry&Angry fashion show (...or...well...the same people and stuff X_X ).

Once that was over with, Uchuu Sentai NOIZ came out! They have new members from when they came in 2006, but I thought the new ones(Yamato and Kotaro) fit in really well. Their set was full of energy as usual...and Angel Taka was...pervy as usual *sigh* "My pikachu is happy! Are your pokemon happy? CHUU CHUU *hip thrusts* 8D" orz.
I...can never again look at pokemon the same way again T_T
Anyways, after the performance, we went out to the hall, and I ended up buying their Great R&R Heroes cd and a t-shirt. Because it was over $40, and I was within the 1st 50 people, (as was Molly who bought the cd too), we filled out these raffle ticket things for the next day. After that we went back to the room and talked and stuff till almost 2 when we finally retired for the night ><'

Saturday: 2nd day

Everyone woke up and got ready, and headed down to the exhibition hall for a bit before heading to the Uchuu Sentai NOIZ panel :D I'd forgotten my cd upstairs so Kevin and I had to go back and get it, and when I came back, I'd realized i'd dropped my raffle ticket thing, so we once again had to go back and get it while Molly waited for us ><
On the way back down, Kyo from NOIZ was behind us in the elevator, and ran off at the 4th floor. He wasn't dressed yet, so I guess he was racing to get ready since he only had like 15 minutes heh.

There were a lot of interesting responses to questions. I felt so sorry to the translator because she had to translate some of the ...special... answers they gave heh! Like, someone asked the usual what superpower would you have? And Kotaro answered ...he would make sushi rain from the sky -_-'
Angel Taka said that he wished people would have more "feelings down there" because it would contribute to world peace D;
Angel Taka kept doing/saying stupid/pervy things and yamato had to keep calming him down lol!
...until they got to the which is your fave pokemon question. Kyo said Raichu, Masato said squirtle i think? and Kotaro, Angel Taka, and Yamato all said pikachu. ...when Angel Taka said pikachu, he started doing pervy hip thrusts haha! and Yamato had to calm him down...and then Yamato did the exact same thing and they both started doing their little "dance" >.>' lulz.
Poor Masato had this look of "i'm surrounded by IDIOTS!" lol! It's nice to see the band has really good interaction with the new members =D

After the panel, Kevin ran off to get lunch from the Kogi truck, and Molly and I got in line to get our cds autographed. That went  quickly, and then we got back in line to have a pic taken with the whole band :D I put my glasses on the chair before I sat down but had knocked them down so I had to be like *turn around squint at stupid patterned floor* aughhh megane(glasses) DD: and Kyo found and gave me back my glasses before I rushed out with a big arigatouuuu :D
After we were done, Molly got onigiri and I got a sushi bento before we went to meet Kevin...who was only halfway through the Kogi truck. Ran into a bunch of people while waiting! Got foodz and ate with Derainna while Molly tried to get to the AP boutique.

When it was time, we wandered back into the concert room to find spots for the 2nd mini NOIZ set. We we right up front, but really close to the speakers (OW). There was this lady and a kid in front of us (er...who we let in front). I've seen the kid at other cons. He's cute, but i think he's also a little "special". During the concert I felt kind of bad because since there was no VIP section this time around, all the really enthusiastic fans were in the middle front and dancing really crazily. Poor lady got knocked into a lot while trying to protect the poor kid from getting bashed too much. I got knocked into a lot to so... I learned to move awayyy everytime the members came closer heh! It was so cute though! the kid was rocking out and Masato came right up to him and gave him a huge smile and patted him on the head ^^
And later on Angel Taka saw him too and kind of let the kid almost touch him and did a" can't touch this" pulling away motion before giving him another huge smile and a hair ruffle ^^ So nice to see :D

It's always cool seeing younger kids/older people having fun (and hopefully staying safe) at the concerts, there was a wee one in front of me at the Lin Clover concert, and watching the little granny rock out at the GLAY concert was cool too :)

After the concert, we went to go wait in line for the raffle thing. The paper at the booth said first 50 people would get a picture, but apparently the band said it was a raffle where they'd pick out 10 tickets out of the 50 for a picture. Luckily, the band agreed to let everyone have pics. They still called out only about 15 people though (which included me and molly! :D) for the original deal. Everyone else got to take a picture with their own camera with one band member. Kevin and Derainna didn't have tickets, but sooo many people didn't show up, that they didn't check tickets and they both got pics (with my camera) with Taka Angel.

Those of us with the magical winning tickets, got to do the same thing, as well as have a polaroid taken that would be autographed. I picked Yamato for my personal camera picture, and Angel Taka for the polaroid. Sadly, I got distracted by something so when they took the picture, I'm not looking at the camera -_-' *sigh* There was this japanese girl that was in a wheelchair that got her pic taken with them, and I guess she wanted to stand up so they helped hold her up~! <3

Afterwards, there wasn't anything left to do so we ended up going back to the room for the rest of the night (with a small venture out for carls jr for dinner). We ended up watching My Sassy Girl before deciding to go to sleep.

Sunday: 3rd Day
Packed up everything and checked out. (Thanks again to Molly for funding the room and driving! :DDD). We dumped our stuff in her car, and then went and stood in line for the Angelic Pretty, Takuya Angel, and Hangry&Angry Fashion Show. It was interesting! And we saw Patty as one of the Angelic Pretty models! After the fashion show, we all stood in line to get into the AP boutique because Molly wanted a picture with them. That line was...slow and long =-=' Kevin and I took off to the exhibition hall to snag any last things. I ended up buying a pink fat rabbit shirt (...that's my 3rd fat rabbit farm shirt ><; ) and NOIZ's Brand New World cd (featuring the new members). I also bought a poopy horse, and a piece of bread. That is not bread. It looks and feels and looks like milk bread, but it's just a little foam thing. Useless, but awesome XD And Kevin also bought me a little rat keychain from Fruits Basket :D

We came back and finally got into the AP boutique. Looked around while Molly got her picture, and went to the Takuya Angel boutique (ugh, everything at those boutiques were insanely expensive >.o; ). We took one last look around the exhibit hall, and said goodbye to PMX2009.

Molly dropped us off, and we ended up walking to Acapulco's for dinner (I had a coupon) On the way back we got boba, and once we returned Kevin headed off for home.

So. Monday was kitchen duty. I didn't do much haha. Swept the patio of trash/cigarette butts, then cleaned up and refilled stuff in the cafeteria. ...and then i spent pretty much the rest of the time washing dishes YAY 8D haha

Tuesday I just had 1 class, came back and spent a late night reading for our pop quiz (my ta suggested  quite strongly that we read because we MIGHT HAVE A QUIZ NEXT WEEK *hinthint*) great. The only other thing i did was lament the fact that whoever was supposed to clean the bathrooms last Wed and Sunday DIDN'T >( the wastepaper baskets are overflowing, there's pretty much no TP left and the bathrooms just look grody. grr.
also. one of the bathroom doors is broken. someone said that if you go in and close the door it'll lock you in. so...the wastebasket keeps the door open all the time now. whee. Since no one is going to use that one to go to the bathroom i took the tp from there and put it in the other bathroom (that had no tp and locks properly heh.).

Wednesday I woke up, and BOTH bathrooms were in use by people taking showers. ...How did i find out both of them were in use? Because I walked in on the person taking a shower in the open bathroom ugh. -_-'
Anyways, this meant i had to camp style it and brush my teeth and change and everything in my room. GRR.
So, anyways I got breakfast, and went tojrelig discussion...where we DID NOT HAVE A QUIZ! I could have used that time to sleep, buttface. >(
Headed to classical class, bummed around with people and then went to discussion for classical.

Afterwards, I went with Mabel to this place called Enzo's pizzeria (because we had a coupon lol!) Their pizza is actually pretty good! :D
After eating, we went to Trader Joes and Ralphs where I got a couple of snacks before heading back home.

Oh, and YAY whoever is supposed to clean the bathrooms is doing it, YAY :DDD (i feel sorry for her for having to deal with all that mess though =/ ).

And...now I should be doing something productive like reading for jpoetry seminar or finishing up classical homework. blah.

So, on Saturday Kevin and I went out to get him some makeup for his Crow costume, then headed off to get zombie Missa and head to Lyn's house. Red Riding Hood Barb,Renaissance wench Amy, and Joseph were already there getting ready, so we helped a bit before(ghetto) ghostbuster Chris came to help as well :D
There was much foodness to be had all around (chips, bean dip, ranch dip, veggies with various hummus dips and ranch, pigs in a blanket, spaghetti, meatballs, cake, cupcakes, more cake, haha!). Chris was trying to cook up some packaged candy fondue stuff but...
...it failed. miserably. it didn't stay gooey over heat, it just turned into what looked like cream cheese >>' Chris tried whipping it, but it failed so we just left it in the mixing bowl.
Carol, Bob, and Dennis came and we all chowed :D
And after chowing had some fun playing Rockband when Jacky showed up in his Zuko (from Airbender) costume and tried out some Rockband too.

Eventually Carol and Bob went home, and i got tired of Rockband and went and talked with people for a bit. Michael went home, and Kevin, Jacky, Missa, and I played some Texas Hold 'Em. Bun and Elene came by with their friends Max and Joyce! Max joined in the game...and pretty much took everything =____=' (including Kiwi whom he pretty much never let go of haha).

After a bit, Joseph and Amy left too, except when they went outside, it turns out that one of the semi-strays, Charlie, that Lyn's cats Socksie and Clyde hang out with had died on the sidewalk (he got hit by a car or something :< ). So Bun got a bag and wrapped the body up to put by the side of the house until Lyn could (I assume have Bob) take care of it in the morning :'(.

Jacky eventually wanted to leave, and decided that he had an ok hand and went all in, hoping he'd lose...but he ended up winning even more chips! ...but he still left and gave the chips to Barb. Around that time Kevin took Chris and his car home (since he'd had too much to drink) and Bun followed to bring Kevin back.

Around 2 people started panicking because of the no parking after 2 thing lol! So we helped clean up and put away food and everything and left for the night. Kevin took Missa home, and then me.
...and when I got home I realised that it was only 2:15...because of daylight savings time (so...all that worry for nothing arghhh)

On Sunday, I was supposed to get the flu shot (not H1N1 just the normal one) ...but the place had no syringes -.-' So i just got dragged to target to look for something with my mom (and got some washer/dryer sheets since i need to do laundry at school this week)
Afterwards, I got dropped of at Kevin's house and we went to HK Supermarket to see Michael and his mom,...and ended up helping him man their phonebook give away booth while his mom went to drop off his brother at work. After she returned, we went to CoffTea for drinks before dropping Michael back off, and going to Kevin's house to bum for a while until it was time to go to my grandparent's house. From there we went to Todai for some good eats (it was his birthday on Friday) and then my uncle took me back to school 8D.

So…
Thursday I spent way too much money X_X. Before class (like an hour before) I went over to the Halloween sale. Found some shirts I wanted to try on and waited in the fitting room line. There were two girls in front of me. One went in, and then the other. The first one came out, and then started talking to the fitting room attendant guy. …and I swear he had googly eyes when he was talking to her. …he also wasn’t noticing that hellooo she vacated the room. …so I had to wait longer -.-‘ I ended up buying a couple of shirts and new headphones since mine finally died. D; By then I had 5 minutes to get to class…so I ended up being 5 minutes late =-=’

Bodiford handed back our midterms. I did ok 23/27 heh. He picks the most random values for everything (each question was worth 9 points…why not 10 like a normal person?!). Anyways, after class was over I went back to the sale because I wanted to buy a jacket. I ended up getting a zip up hoodie that is lined with fuzz inside yay, I wont freeze in my room anymore 8D.  

I went back to my room, had dinner worked on hw for a bit, and picked up some stuff I’d ordered! My teefury shirt came :D and I also bought new earrings. So I was trying to get them in (they’re captive ball rings with purple gems in the ball) and…I realized that my left tragus piercing was gone! I found the labret post sitting in my ear, but I don’t know what happened to the jewel! Ifreaked out and spent over half an hour trying to get the post in, but couldn’t find the hole. I thought it had closed up, but eventually I found it. I took my old cbr and spent forever trying to put it back in. Rounded metal thing into straight hole is baddd ><’ but I got it in…after makng my poor tragus swell and bleed >.>. and then I had to beg my roommate to take me to the nearest piercing parlor to have someone put a new straight piece of jewelry in. 

Joana said she would, so we went to Prix on Sunset (it was the closest one ><’ ). The guy there (Roger Rabb!t) was really nice. They didn’t have something to match what I had originally, so I just picked a dark colored jewel so it wouldn’t be too out of place. He put it in with an extra long post to account for the swelling and told me to just leave it alone for a few days until the swelling goes down. Poor Maureen ahd this look of horrow on her face when he was putting it in haha! All I felt was pain and pulling on my tragus, more pulling on my  tragus, and then more pulling on the rest of my ear (and I also apparently had metal rods sticking out everywhere haha!

After we came back, Joanna …basically drank the better part of a bottle of wine heh. We ended up going out on  the patio for a bit, and then she started talking to some guys she knew in the lobby. Maureen came down,  and we ended up outside while the two of them talked to a couple of the maintenance guys while they all looked at the costumes of all the people going by, and I worked on my hw heh. I came back up to finish my hw, and then went to sleep.

Friday, I turned in my hw for classical class…and then my prof said “here’s a gift from Kyoto” and gave us a pop quiz
…wtf, we just had a midterm give us a break :[ 

After class I went with Mabel and Chi into westwood where we got lunch and ice cream at the Iranian place on Westwood. I took the shuttle back and didn’t get lost this time! So I made it to class just on time =D. …my professor was fiddling with his wig the first half of class, so it looked…odd >.o’  He gave us a break and when he came back (with fixed hair haha!) he…said a bunch of us had to give presentations. …so I had to bs something about a group of poems in like 5 minutes -.-‘’’

I came back, packed up and Lyn, Kevin and Scooter came to pick me up. We got some Pepes to eat at Lyn's house and Chris came over (wow, haven't seen him in a longggggg time!). It was fun :) we played some Rockband, helped a bit to tidy up, and talked until everyone figured we should call it a night (...at 3am =-=' ).

Today, Kevin, Chris, and I will go over to Lyn's house in the early evening to get things ready for Lyn's Halloween party. ...It should be interesting :D

so...today went ok i guess. went to jrelig discussion (with 3.5 hours of sleep, YAY =_=' ). there...as usual were like half the people in the class. This one guy came in late (as usual orz) and then, he nodded off fell asleep -.-' ...and he was in between Jason our TA, and one of the guys that participates a lot in class. ...smart move D;

After discussion Chi and I headed off to classical class for midterm which only took about 40 minutes. After the midterm Mabel, Chi and I went to Ackerman for a while before waiting outside our classical discussion class.

In class, Caleb had us put into groups and competing to translate and figure out the grammar of small phrases. My group...sucked -.-' the one guy(same guy from Jrelig) , was like doodling (although towards the end he actually knew stuff! ...why he didn't put that knowledge to use in the first place...ugh). So yeah, we got creamed ><;

Anyways, just wanted to point out some random stuff.

During our midterm yesterday, my prof said we could only bring analog watches if we wanted to keep time (he wouldn't allow our ta to write the time on the board). So...there's this guy. Know-it-all that asks really stupid questions sometimes.

also, i've seen really random things on Bruinwalk lately. Last week there was a guy dressed up in a monkey suit handing out flyers. There was also a singing Gingerbreadman O-o'

oh. and i'm apparently GERMAN.
I got my essay back for Jrelig and my TA had written a comment on it asking if I was German.
...I had a bazillion commas (that he mostly crossed out)
and he said that I put them in places where Germans writing in English would normally place them. hmm. interesting.

so the weekend was... pretty fun :D
...except for the midterms part, hah!

Thursday night, Chi, Mabel, Andrew and I made a chat on aim to cram for the classical midterm.
Friday, bright and early (ok 10 -.-' ) was the midterm. Two poems (from hw/class) to romanize, translate, identify grammar, and analyse.
I think I did ok (mostly anyways haha)

After that I had a 3 hour gap till my next midterm. I'd have studied, but for the fact that I had absolutely no clue what to study. Prof just said bring notes, books, blue books, pens/pencils. And that there would be 2 questions on our first book, and 1 each about the other two books we've gone over. The midterm was supposed to be on "what we've tried to achieve" ... i have no idea wtf that means, and after asking a few more classmates, it seems like no one really studied for this test.

anyways. i went to Westwood with Mabel and Chi and walked around to various places for a while before heading back for my test.
It was...evil. I wish he would have given us some hint of what to study. It was only 4 questions, but it took the whole class period to finish. I finished 10 minutes early, and was the first one to leave (oi).

After the test, i scrambled back to my room to get changed and ready for Tracy's casino night!
Tracy, Jonathan and Kevin picked me up and off we headed (quite slowly...stupid traffic) for Tracy's school where wew met up with Barb and her sister Christina. :) I had a lot of fun! I did pretty well at blackjack, ok at roulette, and horribly at craps oi. (as in, even after watching people play and trying it out myself, i have no idea how to play craps). haha
Out of the $100play money they gave us to play with, I only ever cashed in my $20, and managed to make it into at least a couple of hundred! Yay :D

Saturday, Kevin and I got Peking duck for lunch...it wasn't very good but ehhh, we'll go to a better place next time haha. After that we got some TenRens near Santa Anita mall and walked around the mall for a while before going out for ramen at Daikokuya for dinner (omg so good!)
After dinner, we headed over to Lyn's house for a bit to play a bit of rockband and tidy up a bit.

Sunday, Kevin and I were supposed to go over to Lyn's and help clean up a bit more, but she wasn't feeling well, so we ended up going to shau mei to get a snack and drink, and then to the library to watch Fantasia. ...except that when we got it back it was too scratched to work properly ><' so we ended up just talking for a while until i had to go home for dinner.

Monday was kitchen duty. I spent the first part cutting up cucumbers and lettuce and stuff for probably an hour? and then the next two hours working with this russian girl to try and come up with a salad (because we didnt' have enough lettuce for salad)..we ended up hacking up some cucumbers, tomatoes and red bell peppers for the lettuce salad added in with a mustardy dressing, and for the spring mix...we hacked up red bell peppers, tomatoes, added some carrots, and some apples (because that stuff is BITTER ><; ) and the girl made a dressing out of olive oil, yogurt, basil and some cheese...i have no idea how the salad came out, i didn't end up trying it >.o'

Today was my midterm for Jreligion. I think it actually went ok :D (and the 3 questions only took about 45 minutes to complete because Bodiford only wanted about a page per question 8D)

Now... it's back to studying poems for Classical japanese class, and i'll be done! ...for a bit D;

So, yesterday was busy busy. After I got back from class, the rest of the day was spent working on a presentation (that i'd totally forgotten I had to do this week) and my essay for J religion class.

Managed to finish it all by about 3:45am whee 8D
...sadly, when I went to print out stuff at like 3am, my printer jammed and made the loudest possible ripping clunk clunk sound it could possibly make. ...and woke up Joana =/

Anyways, today, went in to Jreligion discussion and Chi presented her readings and then I did mine, I think it went ok (considering we spent most of the time on Chi's)

After class, we rushed to classical Japanese. Mabel gave me the hot choco i'd asked her to buy for me (yay) and class started went like normal. (well...minus the handing back quizzes thing...suffice it to say i did not do well at all T_T )
...until...
my classmates decided to ask stupid questions about the midterm (some stuff that he'd answered in previous classes).
...and he blew a gasket.
considering most of the class was actually in class (compared to normal when a lot of people don't show up), I don't blame him for being angry.

He started cursing and saying that he was "wasting [his] last breaths trying to teach the class" and that he was trying his best to explain stuff, but if people don't show up what the hell .

i wonder if he really is sick or something. he's said stuff about not having long a bunch of times ._.
...so me and chi worry, because everytime he gets excited about something he's saying (or, in this instance angry as all hell), he turns bright red and flushed, and we always think, what if he keels over right in class? @_@

anyways, after his outburst, things went on as normal. after class chi, mabel and i got pumpkin drinks from jamba juice and bought bluebooks (I bought 10, and I'm for sure using a minimum of 5 for midterms).

We then scurried off to discussion for classical japanese...where people asked some more stupid things -_-'

Once class let out, Chi and I went to Ralphs where I bought some mac n cheese (hooray for reconstitutable meals for when dinner just sucks ass >< )

I came home, and started working with Mabel on studying for the classical midterm.
...while listening to my Maureen and her friend go on about what they want their weddings to be like. (...am i the only one that hasn't given serious thought into something like that? they had it planned down to the colors and type of dress and blah blah blah ._.' ).

And then I went to dinner with Maureen and her friend. We were sitting in front of these two Japanese guys(whose names we later found out were Tooru and Hide), and one of them randomly asked us where we're from because he thought we might all be from the same country haha. No. Maureen was born in Egypt, and her friend in Persia lol! One of them is a business major, and the other is a physics major  *shudder*. ...such a random occurence.

After dinner, the 3 of us came back, and now i should continue to study for classical =_='

...so today has been uneventful. I woke up went to lunch, came back and went to kitchen duty

today, for 3 hours I fried every single piece of chicken in the kitchen (...that comes out to 100s of pieces of chicken...a minimum of 15 industrial sized baking sheets worth) oi.
I sizzled myself so many times ugh. ...at least I only have one tiny blister on my thumb, and a couple of red splotches on my arm.
There were these little BASTARD PIECES of chicken that got caught under the grill, and I couldn't fish them out -.-'
so... i had to use tongs. but... me being me, I dropped them into the oil *sigh*
So i had to fish them out with the little basket strainer thing and run them under water so i could hold them and try again.
I didn't dry them well enough so they sizzled me. My plastic glove tips got sizzled too oi D;
but I survived doing all the chicken yay! and Chef said i did good, and gave me a thumbs up more than once (yay!)

So, Friday I went to my classical class, and the first thing the prof does is  go up to someone in the front with a pile of papers and give it to them saying "omiage :D" (gift). ...GIFT MY ASS! It ws a pop quiz -_-' ...suffice it to say my ass got pwned by trying to remember how to conjugate everything ;-;
The rest of the class went on as normal, We got out, and I went with Mabel and Chi to Westwood for some thai food! (or well... I had jasmine milk tea and a custard and coconut sticky rice dessert). Well, they were staying in Westwood and I had to go back for my class at 2. I took the shuttle back, but the shuttle dropped me off near Young Hall...in south campus.

am not a south campus major (sciences).
I'm a north campus major (humanities/arts etc).
And so, i NEVER go into south campus (at least not past the buildings on the border).
So... I tried to cut through Young Hall and got lost . And ended up getting turned all around in the medical area.
even though I had almost 30 minutes to get to class (and it shouldn't have taken more than 10 or so), I got to class like 10 minutes late.

Anyways!
After class, I trekked back home, got all packed up and changed, and waited for Kevin to come. Once he arrived, we were off to Little Tokyo! ...it took forever to get there (and it took him forever to get here in the first place too, oi). traffic is evil. And the freeway is evil too. Once we were close, Kevin got off at an exit, and after crossing one intersection, we ended up right back on the freeway again! ...and then took the next exit off again (wtf at the ridiculous off and right back on thing though)
We were the 3rd car to arrive (after Lyn with Barb, Tracy and Michael, and Jonathan by himself). We parked and walked towards Oomasa, and I ran into Atom ._.'
We went in, and though we'd asked for 8 chairs, there was only a 6 person booth and a little extra seat. When we asked if we could have another seat on the other side of the booth, manager guy said no. :(
Luckily though, after bugging the manager guy to death about various things, the booth next to us opened up, so Kevin, Jonathan and I moved over there, and Molly sat with us when she finally arrived :D
We ordered and were merry, and then everyone headed off to Lyn's house to talk and play some Rockband. We played until a little before 1 when people had to start going home. Molly got lost though, and had to follow Michael ...except she followed him too much and ended up still not on the way home like she was supposed to be XD Eventually she got home though (yay!). After Michael and Molly left Kevin and I ended up going to his house for a while before he took me home.

Saturday, we went to Shau May for lunch. I had the oyster thin noodle (...not as good as other places =/) and he had their Jing Dong meat pie (omnom very nummy). We originally were going to have a day to ourselves, but then made plans to go shopping with Jonathan, but Jonathan forgot that he had something to do, so we decided to go back (partially) to our original plan and went to go see District 9! We were kind of late and missed the first few minutes, but I don't think we missed that much. And I actually liked the movie a lot :)
Afterwards, we got some cheap tea from Quicklys and then went back to Kevin's house to kill time for a while before heading to Clearmans to pick up some nummy salad and then going to Lyn's house where we helped cook up some pasta, corn, and steak. Michael was already there, and eventually Bun and Elene joined us too :D Nummy nummy foods were to be had. But Elene was keeling over from her allergies to the kitties that they had to leave soonly after :(. The rest of us played a dice game, and Kiwi kitten had probably more fun than we did just messing with the dice as we threw them XD. Around 12-ish we ended up cleaning up and leaving.

Today, Kevin picked me up and we ended up going to Shau may (again) and tried out the 5 spice squid. ...meh. not so good haha. My uncle had given Kevin a pair of tickets to the Laker shootout that Kevin was going to give to his friend, but she skipped out TODAY. So...we were trying to call everyone we could think of that would want to go, but no one could go on such short notice. poop. I feel bad that the tickets went to waste because she cancelled so last minute (as in, yesterday night she still wanted them -.-') that it was too short of a notice for anyone else to able to go.
Anyways, we gave up on trying to get rid of the tickets and then got tea at Tea Station and went back to Kevin's house to just relax until I had to go home for dinner.

And now. back at school. Kitchen duty awaits me tomorrow. I wonder what's in store?

So. Today i only have one class. Went to it, came back and had some (not very good lunch) and tried to start on my hw.

Woke up, tried again unsuccessfully to start my hw, and then went down to get dinner.

I got dinner and was sitting alone across from this older guy (Co-op is mainly college students, and he wasn't a worker i'd seen around before). Well, he randomly asked me what was in the chimichanga i was eating (...who knows. it was one of those sucky frozen ones you nuke in the microwave, but they fried it so it was crispy). I said I didn't really know...some meat and cheese i guess (unidentifiable gunk if you ask me D; )

He said he never ate the wrapped stuff because you never know what could be in it, and then started asking me about my major etc.
I asked him some stuff too, and it turns out he's a vising professor teaching italian at UCLA from Rome. He said he had a 5 year contract (he's on his 4th year now) and then he'll return home. I feel kind of bad for him, being stuck at co-op because it's "a place for youth *sadface*"
haha. yeah. loud obnoxious partying college kids. I wouldn't be happy if i were older like him and stuck with a bunch of kids, but it IS much cheaper and you get fed (not very good food sometimes, but food is food). After talking for a bit, he was done and left and Maureen had come so I waited for her to finish before coming up to the room Where FINALLY i started on my hw.

omg. took forever. EVER. Classical Japanese is evilllll *sigh*

but i finally finished so yay 8D
...i have to read for the poetry seminar too. and i have this feeling we were supposed to do something else, but i either didn't write what i was supposed to do down, or i lost whatever i wrote it down on so, i have no idea what i'm supposed to do now (...atom is in my class, but he never shows up so...pfft. no use asking him >.>' )

anyways it's late and i have class bright and fairly early tomorrow. oi.

So...today I ended up getting up at 8 instead of 7:30 like i planned so i had to rush to get ready shovel down breakfast and run to class at 9.
It's been raining pretty hard since yesterday (though it's stopped now i think?), so my hoodie was soaked by the time i got to class. On the way, there was this girl, with her umbrella talking on the phone and walking so slowwwww. And the sidewalk has plants so i couldn't go around her.
It's sad that i feel so happy about it, but her umbrella got stuck on a branch and she got pulled out of my way \:D/

I ran to my 9-9:50am discussion (of about 20 people) and...when class started at 9:05, there were like 6 people in class WTF D;
My TA was like ...the class is full today i see D:
and, every week a couple of people are supposed to present the readings for the week, and one guy didn't even show up -.-' (and it's not like you can make up presentations oi >.o' ) People started trickling in and about 4/5 were there by the end of class.

Chi. she showed up 5 minutes before class ended. Even though she got to class at 9:20.

because she thought that class was at 10. and when she saw the class, she thought it was some other class *headdesk*
so lucky we didn't have a pop quiz today D:

anyways, afterwards went to other two classes and since it was still raining, my classmate Hae was nice enough to drive me back YAY :DD

I went to dinner with Joana, just 15 or so minutes earlier and it was so much less crowded, we managed to get seats :D and then maureen and her friend rosie came and we ended up talking in the lunchroom forever, it was nice ^^

After we got back to the room, I'd salvaged a plastic drawer thing a couple of days ago, so roomies and i reorganized the room a bit, cleaned the drawers out, and now we have a random crap drawer :D

...and now i should be either reading for poetry seminar, or working on classical hw =-='

today feels like it was made of fail haha

i went to breakfast right when it's over (at 9:30) and there was just about nothing left D; I got the last (overly) hardboiled egg, there weren't any pan fried or scrambled eggs, got a scrap of bacon and a hashbrown, and a crunchy and burnt pancake (that i couldnt eat)

After that i headed over to my J Religion class, and hurried back for lunch. I...in my infinite wisdom didn't bring an umbrella or jacket with me. It wasn't raining when i left for class, but when i was leaving class to go back to my room, it was sprinkling, and then pouring, and then by the time i got back, it wasn't raining anymore (it's like the rain heavied up JUST FOR ME awww how sweet...not -.-' ). 

Both going to class and coming back, I saw this random dude in full Superman garb (cape, spandex and all) I have no idea what he was saying to people since i was too far away, but it was...random haha D;

Went back and got lunch and then I PASSED OUT for like almost 3 hours AUGHHH I have an outline i have to finish for class and readings >.>'

I woke up and worked on it a little bit then went with Joana for dinner. It was sooo crowded since people obviously weren't sitting outside because of the rain. There weren't any seats, so we just went back to our room to eat. We...couldn't get into the room (you have to push the door kind of hard to get in, and our hands were full). We finally managed to get in, and then, i knocked my elbow and my drink went flying all over the carpet and Maureen's wardrobe ><' So I had to clean it up before I could eat. ...food wasn't so good haha

...and now i'm sitting here eating a nuked Trader Joe boxed lasagna and trying to finish this damned outline. meh ><'

i went to sleep kind of early last night (probably by a bit after 1) since I'd gone to sleep at like 6am and woken up a bit after 9 on Sunday (ugh).
Which means... i woke up pretty early. ...Actually, I woke up slightly when my roommate came back (at probably 7:30 or so? I didn't check the time, just went back to sleep) and totally woke up at 9 (even though i'd set my alarm for 11 so i could get lunch).
I managed to catch Kevin online and we talked for a bit before he went to breakfast and work.

I went and got lunch around 11:30...it was actually edible today (yay). Had spaghetti, eggplant parmigiana, and chicken
Came back to my room for a bit, and then headed back downstairs at 2 for kitchen duty.

Today, I...cut lettuce, tried to figure out how to use the can opener so i could crush and recycle cans, cut up more boxes, and then ended up doing dishes for the better part of my shift (again oi). I also almost died *sigh* there was a wet plastic bag on our wet tile floor and i was holding a cutting board to put it away so i didn't see the bag and almost went flying >.o' could have been bad, oi.

Got dinner (which was also actually really good!) Real mashed potatoes! omnom :3 and this mushroom, zucchini and tofu dish (that reminds me of the zucchini and chicken dish at shau may), also there was some nummy shrimp and tomato dish and beef with shiitake 'shrooms
...and cake! with ice cream!  it was a layer of yellow cake, a layer of chocolate cake, and pralines and cream ice cream in the middle (...kind of an odd choice that was, but still yummy enough)

after that i came back to the room, and i've been here since.

still need to take a shower and start on my outline for Japanese Religion class on Wednesday...ugh. I don't remember the last time i did an outline, usually it's just "OK, essay due TOMORROW *write write till i'm done*" heh.

Friday after class Lyn, Barb and Kevin picked me up and we went to Sam Woo to pick up some food before going back to Lyn's house where we ate and played some Rockband before leaving :)

Saturday, Kevin picked me up and we went and had some tea at Cofftea and then went to Tak Shing Hong so I could buy a water boiler to take back to school with me. We also went to Ralphs to get some mints before going back to Kevin's house to relax for a while. Eventually it was getting close to the time we had to leave so Kevin and I got ready and then raced off to pick up Barb and then go to Lyn's house where we hopped in her car with Michael and rushed off to The Stinking Rose in Beverly Hills for dinner for my birthday! :D
We met up with Molly, Tracy, Jacky, Jonathan, Bun, and Elene and got seated (and even though we were running really late, we still managed to get to the restaurant on time whee 8D ). We ordered two orders of the ragna calda for the table (it's a small skillet full of roasted garlic in olive oil to be spread over the house focaccia bread). Definitely very nummy :3
I ended up going out on a limb and ordering the rabbit dish. It was actually quite nummy...and is (much to my suprise) less gamey than chicken. ...no one believed me until they tried it haha XD

For dessert, there as garlic icecream! (it was actually really good, had a hint of spice from what i imagine to be fresh garlic)
...sadly, someone ratted my birthday out, so i was forced to wear a garlic hat and have happy birthday sung to me grr >.>'
Afterwards, everyone figured out the check (and paid for my meal, Thanks guys! )

before leaving, Elene forced me and Lyn into the bathroom lounge to set our eyes upon the fertility idol there (...which happens to be a rocking chair haha). Quite interesting...
Also, as we were leaving, Kevin was talking to Elene about seeing his cousin Amy, and it turns out (no one knew) that she actually happened to be at the restaurant too! XD so they talked a bit before we headed out.
Tracy, Jacky and Jonathan headed home while the rest of us met up at Lyn's house to play some Rockband before everyone had to start heading home.
Kevin and I left for his house where we ended up talking for a good bit before he took me home.

Today, Kevin and I went to idCha house for some more tea (yay tea). Afterwards, we went to Petco where we looked at all the fluffy animals before heading to Trader Joes where I ended up getting some tea to take back with me. Kevin took his mom to Hong Kong Supermarket, and then we headed to my house where my family had gotten Hollenbeck burritos from Marquez's (omnom) there was birthday cake, and then my uncle took me back to school on the way home
...when i got here, there was an ambulance that pulled up outside the building and was going inside with a chair thing, but i don't really know what happened, since it didnt seem to be a huge emergency or anything (and my laundry basket was ass heavy, I was more worried about dropping my stuff everywhere) and every since, ive been here in my room 8D

tomorrow is kitchen duty, i wonder what i'll end up doing this time ._.'
