and... now for my post of doom since i haven't posted in a bit 8DD
On Friday I went with Tracy to Thai House and we got boba drinks before heading to Barnes Park to wait for Kevin to come home so we could go over and play Guitar Hero. I played my first Expert song 8DDDDD ... i barely survived but that's not the point ><'''
Eventually Tracy left, and Kevin was supposed to go out with a friend, but his friend never answered his phone calls so the two of us ended up going to Thai World and got some Tom Kah and Pad Thai for dinner (yummy). After dinner we went back to his house and watched some tv show called...erm... Ninja warriors (i think?) before I went home. It was pretty interesting...and a lot of the challenges looked so so soooo hard D:
On Saturday, Kevin and I went to his friend Jason's house to go visit since Emily was there getting drum lessons from him. While she was practicing with Jason, Michel, Kevin and I sat in the living room and talked for a while, and then ended up watching Borat (which I've never seen before XD). It was pretty funny haha. (well...the random nude guys running around may have scarred me for life...but other than that... XD) Eventually Emily left, and after the movie was over (and after we talked for a bit) we all decided to go to Little Tokyo for dinner. We went to Hanaichimonme (which was pretty good =D). After dinner we messed around in the arcade for a bit before heading back for Jason's house. On the way back though we saw a T-bone collision. The car in front of us got hit by a driver that ran a red light. The car actually spun out. scary...=/ Anyways, when we got back, Kevin and I said goodbye and left, heading for his friend Lyn's house where we played Guitar Heros until about 1 and i went home =D
On Sunday I went to Kevin's house to watch 花より男子 (Hana Yori Dango). ...he only watches it for the main character though xD (though...now that he's watched a couple more episodes he's also noticed that a bunch of super sentai actors are in it so...more incentive than just the cute girl? XDDDD)
erm... on Halloween i went out with Tracy in the afternoon to Peach House. It's a frozen yoghurt place (zomg yummie *drool* ). The sign on the place is so small though, I wonder how her sister ever found it XDD. We stayed there for a little over an hour talking over peach yoghurt (for her) and a smoothie (for me...but I think her yogurt was better *g*)Later on (around 7-ish) I walked to Kevin's house and went with him and his brother (who was dressed up as a Sith) trick-or-treating in Alhambra. Sad as it is, that was the first time ever that I've gone trick-or-treating on the streets XD (because... i never really liked trick or treating as a kid, i went to the mall maybe 2, 3 times ever when i was very small, and I'm pretty sure I made a fuss all the times we went so finally I got my mom to stop making me go XD). We walked around for quite a while before dropping Kenneth back at home, and heading to Michael's house. Once we got there Michael (who also happened to be dressed up rather sith-like)drove us all to The Renaissance where we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. Quite an interesting experience, that was xD. The movie started at a bit after 10 so... yeah, I got home kind of late for a school night xD
...speaking of school...
In my speech class we had a POP MIDTERM (who the hell gives pop midterms?!). Johnson was like "D'y'all wanna hear the good news or the better news first?" ...we asked for the better news so... "Well, the better news is that your speeches which were supposed to be due on thursday have been pushed to tuesday" ...the class cheered at that of course...but the "good" news...sucked...ass -.-'
"Now for the good news *holds up stack of tests* 8D" he said. ...It's safe to say most of the class did really bad on the tests (judging from people's groans, and the scores I happened to see when we were correcting the test today). Personally... I did SLIGHTLY better than I expected...but nowhere near a good grade (44/85...that's like just barely over 50% DD: ...and then he wonders why at this point in the class every semester half of the class has a failing grade O_o; ).
So yeah...that was just the first hour and a half of my school day 8D.
Next was work. Cindy sent me off to drop off a paper at the career centre (not so bad right?). Except that on the way out of the building I almost ran into my boss, and the career centre was closed. I tried the door...which visibly annoyed the guy in the back of the room...and then I held up the paper which made him (begrudgingly) get up and open the door (i swear he looked like he was going to bite me >.>').
After that was Japanese, which went well enough.
And then came Mandarin. Our teacher taught us the lesson, and then said OK now you're going to have a quiz on all the stuff you just learned 8D (...after JUST having taught us the characters -.-' oh well... I can't complain too much, I got an A on it xD).
And then was our ASL midterm. We had to make presentationsabout a topic of our choice (most of us did it on family and such since that's what most of our vocabulary would easily cover ^^. ) I got picked FIRST which...freaked me out a lot since... I had no idea what to expect and such...and there's the fact that I totally didn't even start thinking of what to "say" until that morning XD(oh well... I got a 90/100...and on the comments she put "very well prepared"...which made me laugh...a lot XD)
Today wasn't too bad (considering I got all of my test results and such today...which definitely put me in a better mood (well...save for speech that is -.-' ). The only thing is at work no one came and Rosie had me at the front desk (which means answering phones and such). She's just been WAITING for the chance to do that to me I swear. Mostly because she knows I absolutely LOATHE talking to people, and am sort of people-phobic >.>' (especially on phones -.-''). Only one person happened to call though, and it was Cindy (my other supervisor). I have to say...Rosie was pretty disappointed (seriously, she was plotting D=) so I know she's going to make me do it again =/ *shudders*
