So. I forgot to mention what happened when I came back on Sunday.
The first thing I heard from both Priscilla and Stephanie was the Priscilla got a Q-tip stuck in her ear.... >.o'
She was cleaning her ear out and when she took the thing out, the cotton tip was still in her ear. So... I got to listen to her complain all night about how much it hurt D=. She went to the doctors in the morning, and she said that they tried 5 different tweezers on her and couldn't get it out (and that it hurt reallly bad when they were trying). They were going to give her a referall to an ear doctor, but found one more pair of tweezers to try, and managed to get it out, YAY =D

Anyways, today was fun! :D
Chi bought a cheesecake for our J100C class Professor (and wouldn't let any of us help pay *shakes fist* >[ ) and Andrew and Jay brought drinks, while Mabel and Melissa (I think) brought utensils and plates (...i helped steal the utensils from one of our take out food areas the day before though 8D )
The first thing I heard when I got to class was Sensei asking wtf all the stuff was (cooler, cake box, etc haha). So Jay told her we had some food stuffs for the class, so she cut down our class time by 15 minutes to give us a chance to eat =D
She was so suprised and happy when Chi showed her the cake, because it says Sensei, Suki! (Teacher, we love you!) on it ^-^

So... Sunday night, since it was going to be my great aunt's last night here, she made a HUGE amount of food. We had steak, ribs, chicken, cucumber chicken salad, pickled veggies, sushi, ...other stuff that I can't remember i'm sure XD
So, my uncle jon and kevin came over to join in the feasting, and then after cleaning up, we ended up finding and looking at some olddd pictures. There's even one of my mom and dad when they were...probably younger than I am now haha. We also found one of my grandparents when they were...probably in their 20's as well :) My aunt framed it and put it in the living room next to a more recent picture of them. ^_^
around 9 or so, Kevin and I decided to leave, and we ended up just hanging out at his house (where we ended up falling asleep...too much food = massive food comaaaa D; ) until he took me home around 1:30

Today, since it's memorial day, the family went hakamairi...er...to go visit the cemetary and put flowers on my great grandparents' and my great-grandma/grandma's graves. My aunt forgot her wallet when we went to the florist, but saw some fake flowers, and ran back inside. When she didn't come out my mom was like "...maybe she's buying a flower or two from her" ...and i asked her with what money?! so...my mom ran back inside and ended up having to lend my aunt the money for the fake flowers (on top of the two really pretty boquets my grandpa had bought). After we came home we went shopping and then spent the whole afternoon making sukiyaki and miso soup for dinner. My aunts' son was going to pick her up and take her to his house for the night before taking her to the airport in the morning. He...still did but he had to fly back from Oregon to pick her up >.o' It turns out his wifes' sister-in-law (who was only like 46/47) had a heart attack and passed away on thursday. I guess she'd been at home, and her kids were all at work/school wherever, and once the older one got out of work, picked up the next oldest and on the way home when they passed the middle school saw their sibling still there at 4 (when school gets out at 2 and their mom was supposed to pick her up) So...they picked her up and i guess when they got home they found her? *shudder* so traumatic, for everyone =/
so..I guess his family had gone up to oregon, and he'd had to come back to pick up my aunt and take care of his parents-in-law since they're old and sickly D:
Anyways, Kevin came over for dinner again (since he'd never had home-cooked sukiyaki or miso?) and then accompanied me back to school :D

but yeah... i guess my aunt is off to canada tomorrow, and she keeps side-stepping our attempts to ask her to come back to California (where her whole family lives -_-' ), especially when she said she'd help my grandpa out (Yeah, so move back, we basically have an empty room since i don't really live there anymore -_-' ). It was nice having her around the last 3 months. She kept the house lively and really kept my grandpa company since my grandma's been gone...(and she kept us all well fed with nummy foods too haha)
...now without her, we're stuck with my mom and i trying to figure out how to cook (...since neither of us cook, and we never really got a chance to learn or try out stuff....the next few months while we experiment should be...........special >.o;; ), and it's going to be lonelyyyy since it's jsut my grandpa and uncle during the week...and my uncle doesn't really ever come out of his room except for dinner DD:

...and now, since i slept so much the night before, i'm just not tired enough to sleep yet D:
...and tomorrow I have to do my paper for my post-war lit class that's due on wednesday morning *sigh* =_='

it's been a busy past couple of days haha.
On Tuesday I went with Priscilla to Native foods for dinner to get some vegan food :)

yeah...i didn't really like what I got, and thought that Priscilla's was a lot tastier(it had nummy fake bacon :D)

yesterday, after class I went to a workshop thing on grad school for ALC majors/minors. But before that, there were a couple of hours in between class and the workshop, so I went with Chi and Mabel down into Westwood. First Chi had to stop back at her dorm so Mabel and I went to Ackerman to wait, where I got nummy nummy shaved ice for 55c (because I had a $3 off coupon YAY). We sat there forever and I finished my shaved ice before Chi came back XD. After she returned, we went to a little boutique so that Mabel could return a dress she'd bought that she didn't like, then went to this bakery called Elyse that has nummy pastries...except that a slice of cake is like $5 (i got a slice of hazelnut cake, and it set me back %5.03 haha D; ). After getting my piece of cake we went and got boba at bobaloca before heading back to Royce for the presentation, which was quite informative. Except...that the giy in my first class who NEVER. SHUTS. UP. was there, and apparently that's not the only place he never shuts up either, because he asked sooo many questions (some of them were kind of common sense questions too -.-' ). So...after that we went to Ackerman to look at the sale stuffs, but there wasn't really anything, so we parted and went our separate ways.\

Today...
I went with Diana to CVS and bought a hair straightener, new razor (i really needed a new one, all my ones here are rusty because I forget to take them out of the shower :( ), and some nailpolish and makeup supplies that i needed for tomorrow :)

oh. odd thing today. so far getting my meal tickets has been ok. except for the first one. and the last one. heh. this time, i gave the girl at the register the ticket and she didn't know what to do so she had to call a manager. She talked to this guy in white, who i guess wasn't the manager? (because she also had to leave at the same time to go to her other job across the way) and I had to wait foreverrrr. The guy was really nice though. ...kind of creepily nice ._.' He was like
"Sooo how are you doing today?"
"Ok"
"Just ok?! not angry or anything right?"
"Nope, just hungry"
"So, what was it you wanted"
"I was hoping to get the clam chowder"
"What? You said you were hungry? That's just an appetizer! You don't want a turkey sandwich or something?"
"No...just a clam chowder"

..so yes. that's been my week XD
 

So... it's been a pretty busy weekend ^^;

On Friday I went with Joseph to Big 5 and then RiteAid so he could get a backpack and some sunscreen for our trip to Eaton Canyon. After that we got food at Dorados then went back to his house so he could install Oblivion on my comp while we waited for everyone so we could depart.
After Tracy came back from Arcadia we went to her house and played some Guitar Hero, and once Kevin returned from school we picked him up, then Michael and we were off to the Canyon. This time we all brought our cameras and used them! And Joseph stopped every couple of steps to take pictures of plants and such XD. We reached the falls and had a snack and snapped some pictures and then this guy and his two dogs (a golden retriever, and a...some small floppy eared thing) came and were playing in the water and stuff, and then they got out, went right to, and stood over, Kevin and my backpack's and SHOOK themselves, soaking them >.>''' We finished sitting around, headed back down the trail and left for Michael's house so he and Kevin could pick up his car and get Amy, while Tracy, Joseph and I went to get Tracy's forgotten phone/jacket from her house and all met at Savoy for dinner. After dinner we went back to Amy's house and talked for a while until Tracy had to leave...and then talked some more until it was like 2 in the morning. By then Kevin had a headache, so Michael had to drop me off, and then Joseph and Kevin off at Kevin's house so Joseph could get his car and go home.

Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house around 12:30 and we bummed around, had lunch (that my mom got from Pepe's), and watched some drama eps before Joseph came over, we got Amy and Michael, and went to a viet place called Vietnam House for dinner. After dinner, we went to Fosselmans and then headed to Lyn's house to play RockBand2 with Lyn and Barb until about 2am. Poor Scooter had his ears tortured some more by the boys' "drunken" singing (even though they were the ones who were perfectly sober and hadn't consumed any alcohol, they...as usual, were a ton more crazy than us girls who did have a bit ._.' ). Ah well, at least everyone sans poor Scootie-pants(...who was MUCH too enamored of Joseph ^-~) had some fun =D

And today. Kevin came over and went with my mom and I to Linden Optometry so that we could get new glasses before she gets laid off and doesn't have insurance anymore. I got a new pair of frames, and got myself some contacts! woot =D Hopefully the glasses will be in in a couple of weeks and I can go pick them up, and then have my follow-up consultation for my contacts ^^

So... Monday for my Japanese 100C class, we had our mock job interviews. Just about everyone in my class came dressed up (at least enough to not look like total slobs haha)

Two representatives from Pasona (a temp agency) came to our room, so the whole class was put in the room next door to wait. Everyone was freaking out before hand "what if i forget to say shitsureishimasu (excuse me) before i enter, before I leave, before I sit down, etc" "what if i forget to take the business card with two hands" "what if i forget to say hai (yes) after every question?!?!", what if i forget to bow?!"  AHHHHH!! ...and all of that on top of the normal, what if i don't understand a question/can't answer a question well jitters haha D;

Luckily, as people started coming out, they said it wasn't sooo bad, and since I was next to last, I had a lot of reassurance from people that the interviewers were nice and to calm down and breathe XD.

I went in freaking out, but went in together with Mabel at the same time, so at least we got to freak out in the hallway together instead of alone XD (btw, dramatic__  , you know her right? O_o? ). We both went in together, and went to our respective interviewers. Mine was really nice, and most of the questions she asked were easy to answer. There was only one that I didn't really know what she said, as i didn't really hear her and only caught the word communication and a couple of other words ...so I bs-ed an answer, but she didn't look at me too funny, so...hopefully i didn't answer something totally crazy (like that one time on my midterm last quarter >.>' ).

I'm glad that Kawanishi sensei prepared us pretty well, even having us practice in class talking about our weakpoints and stuff. I heard from one of my classmates that went to visit during the other class' interview that not very many of them came dressed up, and that they didn't seem as well prepared ^^;

I got my results back today and I managed to get 20/20 points (YAY) but did get a few comments like, I had a few times where I didn't say hai before answering a question, and i guess i had my elbows on the table a bit? and i was "clicking my tongue" ?! I have no idea when/how i was doing that ._.' Oh well, at least i got full points for content and most of the body language things ^^;

but anyways YAY
...and now... our class is starting in on keigo (all that honorific stuff you use when talking to bosses and stuff) BLEGH. I suck at it. Badly. *stabbity*

...and so I should get back to my worksheet on the stuff =_='

and...wtf I just heard random screaming, i can't tell if it came from the hallway, or from my suitemates' room ._.; *shrug*

Friday was Tracy's birthday dinner. She picked me up around 11 and we went to the mall to hang out before she went to her tutor meeting (which I passed the time by sitting outside on my computer haha D; ). After that, we went to Kevin's house and went to Evikes to get her her birthday present (a mask and sling for her BB shotgun :D ) and meet up with Michael. After that, we went to Half & Half Tea House for drinks and then we split with the guys going to Kevin's house and Tracy and I to hers to wait for her friend Jennifer and pick up Audrey so we could go to dinner. Jacky called and said no one was at Kevin's house (which is where Tracy told him to meet up) and so came over to Tracy's house, and finally at like 6:15 Jennifer showed up (we were supposed to be at the restaurant at 6:30 D;) Luckily, Michael, Kevin, Joseph, and Amy had already left and gotten to the restaurant by 6:30 so woot. We parked in a parking structure a couple of blocks away, and ran into Nhung on the way out of the elevator. After talking to her for a couple of minutes, we raced over to Cafe Bizou and got there around 7 or so and sat down, but Emily still hadn't shown up (...and she'd called at around 6, but then never answered our calls because she was driving). We waited for a while and decided to order, and leave Emily a menu. She called and it had sounded like she was close, but she was still on the freeway and didn't arrive until sometime past 7:30, right when our food arrived D:. so...we all ate, and after dinner Emily had to go, but the rest of us stuck around for a bit more to talk and stuff, and squabble over the bill. Somehow we were short a bunch of dollars and I don't understand how (but... I assume that Emily only leaving enough for dinner and not tip threw us off, and trying to figure out how much for everyone who was pitching in to pay for tracy's meal wasn't correct either... hrm...) But yeah, Amy ended up absorbing the cost (THANK YOU omfg D: ). After dinner, Tracy, Audrey, Jacky and Jennifer left, and the rest of us headed over to Amy's house to watch Amadeus before going home :)

Saturday was just a Kevin and me day ^^ We went to the Los Angeles Arboretum (it's a foresty park place) and walked around for a while looking at all of the plants, and watching the peacocks, squirrels, geese, and other animals...frolic? haha. It was soooo hot though, and we fried in the sun, but it was a lot of fun, and even though it's a month early, it  just felt like the right atmosphere, so I gave Kevin his anniversary present in the rose gardens (I got us matching engraved tungsten carbide rings ^^' )
we walked around some more (...trekked along a nicely NOT shaded path is more like it haha) until we'd gone around the whole park and finally went back to Kevin's house to collapse from exhaustion for a good couple of hours. We had planned to get some sandwiches for dinner, but instead ended up eating whatever Kevin's mom had cooked for dinner (so good omnom) and then gone to Fosselmans to get ice cream for dessert. We got a prepacked half-gallon of chocolate raspberry mousse, and I got my mom a prepacked pistachio. Funny story with that, Kevin reached over to get the pistachio out of the case, but I told him to leave it alone...and while we were deciding what to get, someone reached over and took the pistachio! D; He finally got to have a "Why didn't you listen to me?!" moment...which puts us at like... 1-50 XDD but luckily they had another in the back. We dropped off the pistachio for my mom, and then went back to Kevin's house to eat ours. It was so nummy, and even Kevin's dad liked it...so I bet there won't be any left next weekend ><' lol
After dessert, we ended up watching a couple of hours of dramas before it was late and Kevin took me home. I did some laundry, and took a shower, and finally went to sleep around 4am or so =_='

Today...started pretty badly >.o. Kevin said he wanted to be at Empress Harbour for dimsum at 11... so I got up around 10 so I could get ready, but when I called him at 11 something, he was in the shower -_-' And after that, he HUNG UP on me when I was still talking to him ><' So... Michael finally picked me up at like almost 12, we went to Kevin's house to meet up with Kevin and Joseph and we got to the dimsum place at like 12:30 ...which by then I was pretty pissed off, -_-' (which...is probably an understatement. but I hate being late, and especially when it happens so often, i finally snapped). We had some nummy dimsum (although I left not very sated) and then went to Kevin's house where I ended up wandering off to the Cherry Blossom festival by myself and went over to talk to Tatsugawa-sensei (she was my teacher/the principal at my japanese school in high school!). Walked around some more, tailed Kevin, Joseph, and Michael (who were trying to find me since I'd kind of just left Kevin's house without saying anything), and eventually, ran into Connie, William, and Angela. We talked for a bit, and after Kevin and I went off and settled some stuff, we all headed off to what is now known as The Batcave! (aka, Kevin's garage, because it is so much cooler than outdoors). After a bit though, I had to go to my uncle's birthday dinner, so Kevin took me home and...my aunt basically kidnapped him D= So...he kind of had to tell everyone who was hanging out in his garage that he wasn't coming back so they'd have to leave =/ sorry guys!! D:
So...we ended up going to Taihei for dinner, and then came back to my house and had cake and stuff before everyone started leaving and my uncle Jon brought me back to school :D

I'm not looking forward to monday, at all! we have a mock job interview (well...except that you can turn in a resume if you want to) in Japanese! omg it's only the beginning of the 4th week, and already something this big! D: So, in class today, we went over some do's and don'ts going into the interview =X

Before class, I'd gone to the dining hall ith Stephanie and Missy for breakfast for the first time. Except... I didnt' know it was in De Neve (aka, the really far dining hall) and  i didn't bring my backpack with me, so I had to scurry back to my room to get my backpack, and then try and catch up to Thuy Vy on the way to class.

After class, i ate lunch with Diana and at our building, we decided to take the elevator, because it's a pain walking up so many steps and stuff and we were tired and full. Well, when we got out of the elevator onto the 2nd floor, as the doors were closing this guy was like "Next time, you should walk >(" ...uh...wtfh? S.T.F.U asshole >.>'

We pay just as much to live in the building as everyone else, so it's only fair that we should get the same priviledges, like oh, i dunno, USING THE DAMNED ELEVATOR IF WE WANT TO! -_-' After walking like a mile back from class with heavy books, binders, folders, laptops, etc, why does everyone else get to use the elevator and rest their feet, when we can't? that's bullshit. Those of us on the 2nd floor (and 3rd and 4th it would seem) are just as tired, and shouldn't be given shit for wasting what? a couple of seconds? to use the elevator -_-'

but anyways, after we got back, and Priscilla came back, I convinced fakeplasticblah to come with Priscilla and I to Santa Monica to walk around and shop. We took the bus and walked over to the MAC store so Priscilla could take back some makeup she bought yesterday (she ended up not liking the 3 eyeshadows she bought, and the overpriced brush, and got like $87 back). She returned it and bought a pink pigment powder stuff, and we all probably spent like an hour messing with the makeup. There was a tube of lipstick that I actually liked, but I don't wear lipstick often enough to warrant spending money on one, so after a while we left and went to Forever 21 and Urban Outfitter. We didn't really see anything though, and took the bus back home. After we got back, we got food from Puzzles and Bruin Cafe and fakeplasticblah  came over to our room to hang out and meet Torta (the tortoise) and Danny and Penny (the turtles). There was some drama between Stephanie and Priscilla, so we kind of tried to ignore that and talk about other random stuff haha. We ended up talking forEVER until she got tired and left at like almost 2 XD

and now... i should probably take a shower so that i'll be ready when my mom picks me up at 4 ._.'

so...tuesday was a continuation of monday. stephanie went to work, leaving diana, priscilla, and me to handle her little sister amanda.
in infinite wisdom, priscilla gave her a bit of brownie AND a tofu ice-cream sandwich...which...she threw on the floor -.-' (priscilla asked her if she wanted it, and she said yes, because she wanted to throw it, and priscilla STILL GAVE IT TO HER...and then she threw it -_-' Luckily it was still wrapped >.>' )
But yeah... all that sugar = child bouncing off of walls omg D; She just wouldn't sit still or shut up, or leave me alone. ...at first i was thinking hey, kids arent sooo bad, but oi -_-'

anyways, priscilla's parents came too, and they brought her nephew. he's so cute <33 he's only a few months old so... he's still at the cute, can't do too much except cry, poo, and babble stage XD

after that, i got food and by the time i came back, priscilla's parents had left, and stephanie's sister had gotten picked up so YAY D;
i was kind of getting weary of having a green light shown in my eye, called the hulk, hit with a huge monkeyplush, having my hair totally destroyed (and having it blamed on the monkey...) and told i'm stupid for having money and not having new clothes (wtfh?!)
so...yeah ._.'

anyways, not much else has been happening, except today, I felt up a squirrel! 8D
or well...what happened was I was walking back from class with one of my classmates and at the end of the walkway there's a trashcan (the kind with the flap) and there was a squirrel in it with it's back end hanging out. So, I was like "Hmm... I wonder if it'll notice if i go up to it." and Jay was like DO ITTT 8DD So... I went over and touched it's tail, and it freaked out and jumped out of the trashcan and crouched there staring at me in the walkway, before i left and...it probably went back to foraging haha

and that, was my excitement for the day. the only other thing i did was ditch class. i woke up at 7am, got ready, and then was like...i haven't finished the book, screw it, and went back to sleep for another like 3 hours haha D;

so...i just got told that I have too many stuffed animals.

Stephanie's little sister Amanda came over last night for a sleepover, I think she's staying till tomorrow night? haha. she's cute...and talkative XD Right now Thuy Vy and I are babysitting her while Stephanie, Diana, and Priscilla are in class heh. ...I don't know how to handle kids (seeing as how the youngest in the part of my family that I actually see is only like 2 years younger than me... so... yeah I have no experience with them X_X) They're like aliens to me cute, but then what do i do with them? XD ...but it's going ok so far so, yay :D

anyways...my weekend was pretty busy.

Thursday night, I ended up going to sleep a bit after 3, and woke up at 4 to get ready. My mom came and picked me up, and once I got home a bit after 5, I didn't actually fall back asleep until around 6 something. And at 8 I woke up and went to Kevin's house by 8:30am ...where i...slept some more haha D; (seriously... I hadn't slept before 2:30 or 3 the wholeeeee week so...i needed to catch up haha). Around 11:45 or so Tracy called because she was going to go to Evike's with Joseph at 11, but stuff came up and i guess he was late =X. Around 2:30 or so, after Joseph, Tracy, and Michael were done with Evike's Kevin and I met up with them for ramen at this place called Ajiman. The food was ok... but I prefer FooFooTei or even Tamaya haha D; After lunch, we all met up at Michael's house and shot around his BB guns and the gun that he gave Tracy for her birthday. Once we tired of that we just sat around talking until around 7:30-ish when we picked up Amy and went to Corner Kitchen for dinner. The food there is ok...but a bit on the pricey side, when it's easy enough to find better food for cheaper =X. After that tracy had to go home, and the rest of us went back to Kevin's house to talk..which we did until gosh...like 2am before everyone headed home haha.

On Saturday, Kevin and I went and got 3 banh mi sandwiches and 1 order of shang hai bao for lunch before going to his house to eat them and realising....that we could have just gotten the shang hai bao, and one sandwich, and that would have been plenty for us. Anyways, a bit after we finished eating, Kevin's family came home from Las Vegas (they'd left on Wednesday). His sister...was so, so, hyper. It's scary to see her in a hyper happy mood...because we all know even then, she might do a 180 and turn on her bitch mode, or at least... it'll happen at some point in the probable near future D: Joseph came over, and I think he got freaked out too haha XD. We went downstairs to talk since Kevin's dad was napping, and after a bit Michael joined us as well. Around 6:30 we went to Savoy's for dinner. They have escargot there omnom :3~ After dinner, we went to Lyn's house and played Rockband until around 1 or so.
...I felt so sorry for her dog Scooter D: The guys were so loud, and usually Scooter is running around asking for attention and whatnot, but this time, he was just staring at me with such sad eyes, and everytime they got noisier, he crawled more and more on my lap, and rolled over on his back and flailed, like he was saying Make them stoppppppp T_______T. He even tried to get outside, and knocked over a fan and stuff D; *patpat*

Sunday, Kevin came because my aunt made a roast for Easter, and after dinner (...which was at 3:30 -.-' ) we went to Joseph's house so I could pick up my laptop (he was going to install games on it...only Portal worked D: ), and then we were off to the bank so I could get money and then to the Staples Center for the Laker's vs. Grizzlies game. My uncle gets season tickets, so he gave me a pair =D. It was Kevins and my first time seeing a pro basketball game, and our first time going inside the Staples center so woo! The seats weren't too bad (Section 301 Row 6 Seats 11 &12) way up in one of the last sections, but right in the center, so it was easy to see the whole court.  It was pretty fun, but not a very intense game, seeing as after the first 6 points or so by the Grizzlies, the Lakers took the lead and stayed there the rest of the time (and won 92-75 haha D; )
After the game, we went to Chinatown and to Phoenix Inn for dinner (...which...wasn't so good...and the fact that I had bad food in Chinatown is...really sad haha D; ). After dinner, we tried to find a tea place that was open so i could bring some back to my roommates, but they were all closed, so we gave up and Kevin took me back to school before heading back to school himself ^^

also, during halftime, on the jumbotron they had this thing where the cameras have a heart on the screen, and they try and find couples so they can kiss.
...so...when they started doing that, kevin and i sat as far from each other as possible so we wouldn't get "caught" which... i think we would have if we hadn't done that because the lights went by us a bunch of times XD. I mean, i love him alot, but i still don't want to kiss him in front of 1000's of people you know? D;

Friday, Kevin took me back to my house to pick up my purse, and then the bank so i could get money before we went to Lee's tofu for lunch. After lunch we went back to his house and waited for Joseph, Tracy, and Michael to show up with their BB guns. We messed around with the...growing assortment of pistols, shotguns, etc for a while until going to Big 5 to look for a case for Tracy's shotgun. We ended up not getting anything though, and Joseph took Tracy's gun for the time being while we find out what kind of cases we have to have to be allowed into a BB gun shooting arena place haha.
Tracy went home a little after that, and the rest of us picked up Amy and ended up going to Casa Calderon for some nummy dinner. After dinner, we didn't know where to go so we just bummed at Kevin's house while he...passed out on the couch from not getting enough sleep ...only to be kicked in the shins by Terry who wanted his camera ...which started a huge fight that he lost because his mom basically told him to give Terry the camera so she'd stfu and stop screaming at like 1:30 in the morning =_='
After that time, we all went home and Joseph took Amy home while Michael took me home :)

Saturday, Kevin and I were supposed to go to The LA County Arboretum for a date (...which... we haven't had in what seems like forever)
But...since Terry took his camera to some stupid music festival, we rescheduled to April 18th >.>' So, instead he picked me up from home and we went to The Corner Kitchen (where Dodoro's used to be) for lunch. The food was ok, but I wasn't feeling very well (curse you cramps!! ><' ) so I ended up not finishing it and took it back to Kevin's house where we waited for Michael to get out of work. He got out, and we called Joseph and ended up going to Joseph's house for a while before going to The Congee for dinner. We had some time to kill before going to Lyn's house so we stopped at Phoenix Inn for drinks and then went back to Kevin's house until she called. Went to Ralph's to pick up pineapple juice and cranberry juice so she could make Caribbean Breezes and then headed off to her house where we played RockBand until like 1 when Michael had to go home. I've decided... having basically a liquid diet for a day, and then consuming any amount of alcohol = me semi-permanently attached to the toilet (having to pee! not from any sort of effects of being drunk >< I have more responsibility than that! >=[) ...i should be more careful next time haha.

Sunday, I went with Kevin to Joseph's house around 2 to hang out for a bit since Joseph was planning a Pay-per-view WrestleMania party/gettogether thing ...except no one came except for me and Kevin :( And contrary to what seems to be popular belief, i don't mind watching wrestling...the only thing I dislike is the horrid acting and stupid storylines -_-' The competitions themselves are ok though. Basically...the only sports I will willingly watch for more than 5 minutes is figure-skating, gymnastics, bull-riding, extreme sports, wrestling, boxing, and once in a greatttt while basketball...but that doesn't come around too often haha. So, no, I am not absolutely opposed to watching any kind of sports at all, just...most of them XD
Anyways, I had to leave at 5 to have dinner and go back to school, so I left them to their fan-boying and went home.
Oh yeah, Joseph's mom is like my aunt, with the magically appearing ice-cubes and not taking no when it comes to food/drinks haha D;

Monday...was a pretty shitty day to begin with. I stayed up late Sunday night trying to finish my linguistics homework and ended up oversleeping! :( I woke up at 8am, and class starts at 8am >.>' so I scrambled to get to class and managed to get there by 8:30 ...not bad considering my prof had changed our room number and building, and it's now in a building i've never been in -_-' I also had been planning on printing out my hw but priscilla's printer wasn't working, so I figured in between classes, I'd print at the library. Well...the line was so long I would never have gotten it printed in time, and so instead of finishing the 2nd part of my hw, I spent the time rewriting it on lined paper so at least I'd have something to turn in D:
Around 9 or so, I went with Diana and Priscilla to LAX to pick up Diana's sister from the airport. It took over an hour on the bus there, and about half an hour on the bus back. At least, I managed to finish more than half of my 245 page book that I have to read for tomorrow =D
We got back and met Thuy vy for dinner at De Neve Late night and went back to my room for a bit before everyone started going to sleep. Speaking of which, for the time being Thuy Vy is sleeping on our floor because she had surgery on her knee over spring break and can't get to her top bunk bed in her room.

Today is going a bit better at least! I'd forgotten how entertaining it is to have this one guy, Andrew, in my Japanese class. He comes up with the most random stuff constantly, so it keeps the class and even Kawanishi sensei laughing constantly haha. Today, we were talking about the word inki (陰気） which means like...gloom/melancholy and how it's related to kurai (暗い) which is like...dark/gloomy. So...he came up with a story. About a shark wanting to eat a squid and so it chases the squid and the squid squirts its ink (inki, ink get it?) which of course makes things dark (kurai) and so it gets away.
...i really don't think anyone else would be able to come up with shit like that XD

so, I'm sitting here watching Seven Pounds with Priscilla, Diana, and Stephanie. It's an interesting movie, and has a pretty interesting concept (so far anyways hahaa)

Anyways, as we're watching, we also get the lovely sounds of Taylor screaming in the bathroom (i assume at her boyfriend?) It's been going on for a while now... >.>' The clearest thing I made out was "I'M CRAZY! I'M SORRY!" in a sad/angry voice  ....yes, yes you are, can you NOT scream in the bathroom? D;

i had another odd occurence. Diana and I were walking back from class yesterday, and behind us were these two guys talking quite loudly.
And one was talking about how in class (high school maybe? i dunno) he rarely answered questions that the teacher asked the class even though he knew the answers, because he knew "the other students were struggling" and so he wanted to help them out by letting them answer instead.

after he and his friend went off in the opposite direction, diana and i gave each other looks and agreed that he sounded like a pompous asshole -.-' oh yes, please, all of your underlings need your help, without you they'd all be doooooommmmmeeeeddd *grovel*
/sarcasm ~_~'

i dunno... he just sounded so obnoxious it was irritating -.-'

So... first day of classes went over pretty well =)

I woke up at 7, got ready, went to Bruin Cafe fore a croissant and off I went to class. My first class was Post-war Japan through Literature. the professor's name is Seiji Lippit ...but he looks like a really (and i mean REALLY) geeky balding (late 30's-early 40's) white dude. the class is basically a movie every monday, and we discuss the book we're supposed to have read on Wednesday. Yes...because a dark room at 8am is going to keep the class awake 8D (oh...and his voice is a bit soft and monotone too...great...)

After that class, I had a break so I went to the library for a bit before heading to my Japanese 100C class. I have Kawanishi sensei again. I'm even more worried about this class than the last one (which.. I barely scraped by with a C+ in T_T ). We're learning keigo(super polite speech patterns). And not only are we learning keigo, we have to have a job interview simulation with a company called Pasona (in Japanese of course). I'm wibbling in my shorts already DD: YANYAN HELP MEEEEE YOU HAVE ALL THE KNOWLEDGE OF A WHOLE CLASS ON BUSINESS KEIGO *grovels at your feetsies* T_T

After that class was over, I went to the library again until it was time to go to my last class of the day, Japanese linguistics ...also with Kawanishi sensei 8D (i'm glad she's really nice at least haha). The class is pretty big, and a lot of them are linguistics majours, so that'll be...interesting D;
At least Atom and Ritsu are in that class (as well as some classmates from Japanese woot!)

Once my classes were all done, I headed over to the bookstore to get books. LONG ASSED LINES (of course) but amazingly, i was in and out within 20 minutes, and bought a total of 8 books. ...Post-war Japan has 6 books -.-' (just about one a week).

I trekked back to my room, and then Priscilla wanted to go to Bath & Body Works, so I went with her to the mall and we wandered the BBW shop for a while (because she asked if they had velvet tuberose travel size perfume or even a room spray and the staff looked all over  but didn't have any). We split the cost of buying 5 antibacterial soaps (2 for each of us and a bottle for our bathroom), she ended up getting the velvet tuberose bodysplash, and since i had a coupon thing, I got a free shower gel, and then back to the room for us.

and now... i'm just trying to not get lazy and behind in readings and hw after only the first day 8D

so... Kevin came back Thursday night, and on Friday we walked over to Tracy's house around 11 to keep Tracy and Audrey company while they waited for someone to come and mess with the lighting. ...the person was supposed to come at 8:30am, and by 12:30pm (once michael had shown up) we gave up and left for cha for tea. When we came back, the guy had left his card on the doorstep >.>'

Anyways, we bummed around for a while until Tina was ready, got Tina and Jacky from Jacky's house and headed off to Eaton canyon (Eaton canyon is a little pocket of wilderness near Pasadena with hiking trails and stuff like that). We hiked up to the waterfall! It was pretty fun...except i kept falling in the water when we crossed the riverbed (no bridges or anything, you have to just jump from rock to rock/treebranch >.>' ). It took us a little over an hour to get to the top where the waterfall is, and it was actually quite pretty! I only wish i could find my camera's connection cable so i can upload pictures (...and that i'd actually brought my camera with me at all! haha *fail*). Ah well...next time I'll make sure to bring a camera =)

After that, we trekked back down, and everyone separated. Kevin, Michael and I met up with Joseph at Kevin's house so that I could get my laptop back from him (I lent it to him so that he could use it for his final portfolio presentation thingy for school). We talked for a while, and then went to dinner at Cafe Spot before coming back to Kevin's house and talking some more until everyone went home.

On Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house around 1:45 or so and we just hung around waiting for Michael to get out of work. After he got out of work, We met up with Michael and Joseph and went to Evikes to look at BB guns. Joseph ended up getting this really kickass 3shot shot shotgun for a little over $60. After that, we went to Santa Anita mall so Michael could buy a textbook, and then wandered around until we ended up in this little shop that sells a bunch of Japanese baubles where Kevin ended up getting me a cute little purple cat figurine ( <3 thank you <33). We wandered some more before heading to a little restaurant right by Evikes called Tasty Cafe (which...amazingly, was pretty tasty! ...except for the drinks...those weren't so good >.>' ) We called Lyn and Barb because Lyn was having her birthday party...but they didn't come back until pretty late, and since Kevin had to wake up early to go to Las Vegas, we couldn't go :( (sorry Lyn! Happy birthday though!! =D)

After dinner, we went to Michael's to watch the last few minutes of the figure skating tournament (we got to watch Korea's Kim Yu-na win AND be the first woman to break a score of 200! =D). Once that was over though, everyone scattered and went home.

Today, I went to my mom's cousin's house in Mission Viejo for a party thing...it was ok. Kind of boring though, because I didn't know like half of the people, and didn't really talk much with anyone. Around 6:30 though, we all left and my uncle drove me back to UCLA.

...and now I should get some sleep since I have class at 8am tomorrow morning 8D

so yesterday, I woke up around 4:30am, and felt my ear, and it turns out that the barbell had fallen partially out of my ear...so i pushed it back in which wasn't so bad but omg the itchyyyy it wouldn't stop for probably 20 minutes before i could go back to sleep >.>'

Anyways, I managed to go back to sleep and wake up around 11 or so and Tracy picked up me, Linda, then Michael by 12:30-ish and off we went to Pasadena. Jacky was supposed to come with us too, but he ended up going to CPP with Deb instead =/.

First we stopped at President Thai for lunch, which was really really good *g*
After that, we went to Prix piercing so that I could get a new barbell. The girl there...wasn't that friendly (not mean or anything, just not particularly warm either). I ended up having to get a new whole new barbell. She said that my ear was "eating the balls" ...i guess they were too small, and my ears were swelling around them >.o So she gave me bigger balls, and also a bigger gauge (16g instead of 18g >.o )...which kind of hurt going in haha D; It cost me $35 altogether  >.>'

That was a pretty quick trip, and then we walked down to Target ...with me itching the whole way (augh that was at least another 30 minutes of itching >.>' ). We walked around there for a while and after people got what they wanted,we started walking back. We called Tina because she was supposed to join us, but she'd had a bad day and decided not to. We also tried calling Emily because she said she'd try and meet up with us for dinner or something, but she never picked up her phone :(.

So...on the way back we stopped at Juice it Up for a while before walking the rest of the way back to the car, and then back home. We stopped off at Michael's house so he could pick up his car and he followed us to Tracy's house where we ended up staying and just talking and messing around until it was almost 9 and we all had to go home to eat dinner =)

All in all, not a bad day, but now my ear is kind of sore from all the abuse :(

...if i ever want to get a barbell that I really like though, I'll have to go up one more gauge to a 14g though ...but i think that might look bad with my ear so...we'll see what happens, i have to wait till this fully heals anyways so there's no big rush or anything like that ^^;

I lost the back bead to my industrial's barbell today...which i found out, when i hit the front one really hard with my comb (leaving me seeing stars -.-' )
but yeah... I've looked all over and I just can't find it (of course...the fact that it's tiny coupled with my house being all carpet means it's pretty hard to find anything that's dropped =/ )
i'm scared to sleep because i don't want the bar to fall out, and the hole to close during the night/beginning of the day... D:
so...hopefully tomorrow after lunch tracy will be willing to drive me to a piercing place around here so that I can buy either a new barbell, or at least get a new bead... ><' *crosses fingers*

anyways, yesterday was pretty fun! Tracy and I went to Evike where she got a BB shotgun, and I got myself a nice little M9 bb gun (to go with my...baretta?). After going to Evikes we went to the Montebello mall, where I got some new earrings, and then some of the new bath and body works Butterfly Flower scented perfume. which...comes with a free lotion already, and i had a coupon i'd printed out, so i also got a body cream for free YAY =). After that, we left and got tea at Tenrens and went to Tracy's house to mess with our new guns before she took me home.

tomorrow... should be pretty fun too =) Linda is back, and the CPP, CSULA people are off so... Tracy, Linda, Jacky (?), Michael, Emily(?), and I are planning on getting some lunch somewhere in Focus Plaza, waiting for Tina, and then figuring out what to do, which probably means going to the mall or park or something (...and also hopefully somewhere so i can get a new bead for my barbell DD: ...i hope wherever we go has 18g beads... they seem rather uncommon D: )

my monday, tuesday, and wednesday were spent trying to finish my 8-10 page paper for Japanese Tales of the Supernatural, and my 6-8 page paper for Pop and Folk Korean Religion. Me...being me, I finished them both on Wednesday. I finished the JToTS one Wednesday afternoon.

Kevin picked me up Wednesday to take me to CSULB and I finished my Korean paper about an hour after I arrived at his dorm.
The rest of my trip till Friday afternoon ...
well...
lets just say it wasn't what either of us was expecting or hoping for, (and i mean that in the worst way possible) but was probably something that was somewhat inevitable.
and now that it's over, i have faith that things will be much better =)

anyways, we came back Friday afternoon, and met up with Tracy to go to this store in San Gabriel called Evike. They sell paintball and BB guns, as well as gear and whatnot. Tracy bought a gun, we split a pack of BBs, each of us got a speed loader, and I bought myself a target so I can actually practice and get some aim (because well... I have no hand-eye coordination to be able to hit anything, even if its right in front of me haha)

After that, we went back to Kevin's house to divy up the stuff before she went home, and we went to Michael's to get him and go to Thai Paradise for dinner. The food there is pretty good! Afterwards, we went back to Michael's house for a while and the guys played some SSBB before we went home.

 Saturday morning, I had to go with my family to my grandma's 40th/50th memorial service thingy at Konko church. It's not actually the 50th day until this coming Friday, but Tsuyuki Sensei combined the services since he was going to be out of town, and because it's hard for everyone to get together every 10 days (I missed the other one so... ).

After the service, my family went across the street to the cemetery to put flowers for my great grandparents. Which...of course meant fighting and  deception while my Auntie Yoko tried to reject my grandpa's money for the flowers >.>' (lots of running away from her by the whole family after someone managed to stuff the money in her pocket -_-'' )
Once we did that we went to lunch at this little cafe called Takumi in Little Tokyo where everyone got split up into three tables.

Once I got home, I went to go hang out at Kevin's house.
The rest of Saturday ended up being just Kevin and I (and I really think we needed it anyways haha D; )
We bummed at his house pretty much the whole time and ended up watching Life Is Beautiful and a bunch of episodes of Cupid no Itazura and Denchi ga Kireru Made, with a pause in there for dinner at a place who's main focus is congee (rice porridge).

and now i'm officially on spring break. hopefully it isn't too boring =)

So. Things have been quite interesting lately...haha. Thuy vy and the rest of us got in a pretty big fight on Wednesday and Thursday =_='.
She came over today, and at least with me things are ok. She hasn't talked to anyone else yet really because they've all left for the weekend haha.
Kevin came over last night and had pizza with me and Diana (it ended up being just us because Stephanie had a sorority thing, Priscilla went home until next quarter, and Thuy Vy was still mad so she didn't want to come over).

Today was fun though! Kevin drove Thuy Vy and I down to Melrose so Thuy Vy and I could get our ears pierced. We were going to go to a place called Freak Chic, but the tatto artist there said that the guy probably wouldn't be in until 5, so we walked around looking for a bathroom because Kevin had to go, and we spent like half an hour walking to different places, and none of them had a bathroom he could use. Until, we got to Jiffy Lube. They had one haha. And right near it was Pinks (which Kevin has been wanting to try). We had a hotdog and some onionrings there before heading back to the piercing parlour. The piercer still wasn't there, and the guy said that he had food poisoning and so wouldn't be coming in. Thuy Vy and I were disappointed, but we had seen another place right down the street called Body Electric and decided to check that place out (I'd also seen it floating around Yelp when I was looking around for places in the area).

We went in and talked with the piercing artist James who was really nice and informative. He gave us prices for what we wanted done, and showed us his portfolio and some jewelry and stuff and we decided to go for it. We filled out the paperwork and waited for all of the instruments and stuff to sterilize before going into the piercing room. Thuy Vy was getting two helix piercings in her upper ear and went first while Kevin and I watched.

Next it was my turn. First he did my 2nd earlobe piercings, which didn't really hurt all that much, and then he did my industrial piercing on my left ear. (I can't find my connection cable for my camera, but when I do, or get someone else's camera, I'll take pictures and post them, but for now here's what one looks like). The industrial hurt more than the earlobes, but not anything unbearable. He had one needles that went through both sides of my ear though, so...that was interesting. Oh, and the bar in my ear is smaller than the one in that picture. After that, since it really didn't hurt as much as I figured it would, I decided to go through with the last one I wanted for the day, my rook piercing(here's a picture of what one looks like) in my right ear. That one...hurt a bit more than the industrial, just because there's more cartilage, but it wasn't so horribly bad that I couldn't take it though (and we all know I'm a pansy when it comes to pain haha).

James was incredibly friendly, and walked us through every step of what he was doing, helping us breathe and stuff, and I think he did a really good job =). I'm really happy with them, and provided I take good care of them, I think I should be fine. He also told us that if we were in the area, we could come back in a few weeks just so he could check up on everything and see how our piercings are healing at some point =D.

Hmm...at some point I kind of also want to get my tragus pierced (that's the little flap that lies in front of the opening to your ear canal), but that'll definitely be at a later date. I think if I do though, I definitely wouldn't mind having him do them =). We finished up and payed for everything, thanked him again and left back for Westwood where we ended up eating at Chilis. After dinner, we went to Diddy Riese for $1.50 cookie ice cream sandwiches, and now I'm back in my room about to start studying for my Japanese final tomorrow morning =D

Anyways, nothing too exciting has happened since the last week (thank goodness haha D; )
On Friday Kevin came to my house for a while before tracy got out of work, and after she did weI went to the mall where we walked around for a while. I ended up getting the sheer cherry blossom perfume from bath and body works and then off we went to focus plaza to the little dried foods and candy shop there to get some snacks to take back home/to our dorms.
After that, Kevin and I hung out for a while before going to Michael's house, going to Chano's for a quick dinner, and then heading off to see Watchmen. That was the first movie that I DIDN'T fall asleep for. It wasn't too bad, but it started feeling long when they like totally departed from the main storyline for what felt like forever... >>'
after that, it was pretty late, so we went home since Michael has work early on Saturday, and Kevin and I had to wake up early to go with Tracy to Little Tokyo.

On Saturday Tracy picked Kevin and I up and we headed to Little Tokyo where we say for a bit waiting for Kinokuniya to open. Once it opened we milled around inside for a while before heading over to the Little Tokyo Mall to eat at Hanaichimonme (which has pretty good ramen *g* ). From there we went to the arcade where we played some games. When I got bored of playing, I decided to go downstairs and walk around Mitsuwa for a while...only to find out that it is no longer Mitsuwa, but now The Little Tokyo Marketplace. It's so different now. The workers wear yellow, and it's a korean supermarket now O_O'. I walked around for a bit before meeting back up with Kevin and Tracy and heading to the Japanese-American Museum. I haven't been there for a while, and when I went it was just with my mom, so it was interesting to actually have docents take tracy's class around and talk more about the history and struggles of people especially around WWII.
Afterwards, we went and got gelato before heading back to Kevin's house where Tracy dropped us off. We stayed at Kevin's house for a while before getting Michael and going to this place called Cotton Candy in Alhambra. The food was pretty good (a bit thick tasting, but it's supposed to be had with alcohol to wash it down, but we didn't get any, so that i guess couldn't be helped.) After that we took Michael home before going to Lyn's to play Rock Band...which we played forEVER...since we tried to do the endless setlist. we only got through about 36 or so songs before I was ready to go home (since I had a posting due the next day)

Anyways, YAY Kevin is coming on Friday since I can't go home until Saturday (I have to take my Japanese final ><; )
Erm... Friday I THINK I'm supposed to go with fakeplasticblah  to Santa Monica :) (is it ok if Kevin and maybe one or two of my friends come too? D: they want to go shopping too... DD: )

and...now I'm off to Diana's room to watch I Am Legend =D

So...yesterday we went back to Andy with updates on what's been happening and he set up a meeting with Diana, Thuy Vy, and I and the RD on duty at the time. We told him some stuff and he kind of advises us with how to act and handle her and stuff since there's really not much that we can do except support her and keep trying to get her to come with us to do stuff and not just sit around alone and stuff like that. Before that though, Stephanie had this idea to call Priscilla's older sister and tell her what had happened, but she didnt believe anything that Stephanie and Diana said, and just brushed it off like she's fine. She called priscilla and asked her what had happened but of course she lied since she doesnt want her parents to find out >.>' Stephanie and Diana called back again, and a bit after that Priscilla's sister called her again, and basically told her that to have her annoying friends stop calling because they were pissing her off.
...wait what?
them trying to tell her that hey, her baby sister has a problem, and who knows, if it gets bad enough might not even be around anymore, was met with you're annoying me, go away.

...i don't understand how one could be so non-chalant about something like this. >.>'


but anyways, things have been ok since then, so we'll see what happens from here.

So... my weekend was kind of busy haha.
On Friday, Kevin came over to my house and got fawned over by my Auntie Ellen (while my uncle Jon and I snickered in the background XD). ...but of course my Uncle got it even worse since he got squished by her haha (it was his birthday the day before so... XD). But yeah, she kept telling him how cute he was and stuff XDD. A family friend came over to pick her up, so everyone sort of sat around for a bit talking and stuff until Kevin and I left to go over to help Michael move around and set up some stuff at his new place. We got snacks at a nearby bakery and worked for a bit more before picking up Amy and then meeting Joseph at Green Zone for dinner. After dinner we went back to Michael's old apartment for a while before going back to his new place and bumming until his mom kicked us out. After that, we went to Cha for Tea where we ran into Patty!! ...but didn't get to talk to her for long since she was with her friend =( (Pattyyyy we have to hang out sometime! >< ). Anyways, we sat around for a pretty long time talking about our families and childhood memories and stuff before everyone headed off for home.

Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house and we just sat around watching dramas and stuff until Joseph came over and we went to Michael's condo. We ended up going to Yazmin (a malaysian restaurant in Alhambra) for dinner. The food was good *g*. Afterwards, we got some mango froyo at a froyo place called Cocoyogurt before going back to put away all of the transformers and stuff that michael has. We stopped and bummed around for a bit longer before going home.

On Sunday I weeded (again). I'm mostly done, but I still have a little bit left. while weeding, I realized that we have termites X_X. I poked at our bathroom door (the master bedroom's bathroom has a door that leads to the backyard that's been painted shut for years) and out popped a couple of baby termites >.o' So...now, in addition to the black mold of doom, we also apparently have termites to deal with -_-''

Today I woke up early to sign up for my last class for next quarter, and went back to sleep before going to class, and now I'm just bumming around procrastinating on hw XD
