was fun!

Friday: 1st day
Friday, I went to classical...where we had another pop quiz (...i'm just assuming we have quizzes on fridays from now on dammit >< )
Went with Chi to Ralphs and then to get boba before she left and i bummed in front of my class till it started.
Poetry class went on forever...20 minutes overtime again in fact =-='

Kevin said he'd be there at 5...but called at 5 saying he hadn't even left yet =_=''' Molly called and said she'd arrived so I rushed back so I could at least dump stuff in bags. We ate korean sushi she'd brought for dinner, and waited till Kevin finally arrived (with the duffel bag I needed). I shoved everything in and we were off!
Took forever to get to the LAX Hilton but we made it...at like 8 >.o' Met up with Derainna who helped us pick up badges and then rushed over to the concert hall (luckily only 1 band had played i think?) We managed to catch Rusika perform (yay Natz! :D). After Natz was a Hangry&Angry mini fashion show. Then this girl duo called Papillon played. They were actually pretty good! (considering the high pitched-ness of them). After their set, was another Hangry&Angry fashion show (...or...well...the same people and stuff X_X ).

Once that was over with, Uchuu Sentai NOIZ came out! They have new members from when they came in 2006, but I thought the new ones(Yamato and Kotaro) fit in really well. Their set was full of energy as usual...and Angel Taka was...pervy as usual *sigh* "My pikachu is happy! Are your pokemon happy? CHUU CHUU *hip thrusts* 8D" orz.
I...can never again look at pokemon the same way again T_T
Anyways, after the performance, we went out to the hall, and I ended up buying their Great R&R Heroes cd and a t-shirt. Because it was over $40, and I was within the 1st 50 people, (as was Molly who bought the cd too), we filled out these raffle ticket things for the next day. After that we went back to the room and talked and stuff till almost 2 when we finally retired for the night ><'

Saturday: 2nd day

Everyone woke up and got ready, and headed down to the exhibition hall for a bit before heading to the Uchuu Sentai NOIZ panel :D I'd forgotten my cd upstairs so Kevin and I had to go back and get it, and when I came back, I'd realized i'd dropped my raffle ticket thing, so we once again had to go back and get it while Molly waited for us ><
On the way back down, Kyo from NOIZ was behind us in the elevator, and ran off at the 4th floor. He wasn't dressed yet, so I guess he was racing to get ready since he only had like 15 minutes heh.

There were a lot of interesting responses to questions. I felt so sorry to the translator because she had to translate some of the ...special... answers they gave heh! Like, someone asked the usual what superpower would you have? And Kotaro answered ...he would make sushi rain from the sky -_-'
Angel Taka said that he wished people would have more "feelings down there" because it would contribute to world peace D;
Angel Taka kept doing/saying stupid/pervy things and yamato had to keep calming him down lol!
...until they got to the which is your fave pokemon question. Kyo said Raichu, Masato said squirtle i think? and Kotaro, Angel Taka, and Yamato all said pikachu. ...when Angel Taka said pikachu, he started doing pervy hip thrusts haha! and Yamato had to calm him down...and then Yamato did the exact same thing and they both started doing their little "dance" >.>' lulz.
Poor Masato had this look of "i'm surrounded by IDIOTS!" lol! It's nice to see the band has really good interaction with the new members =D

After the panel, Kevin ran off to get lunch from the Kogi truck, and Molly and I got in line to get our cds autographed. That went  quickly, and then we got back in line to have a pic taken with the whole band :D I put my glasses on the chair before I sat down but had knocked them down so I had to be like *turn around squint at stupid patterned floor* aughhh megane(glasses) DD: and Kyo found and gave me back my glasses before I rushed out with a big arigatouuuu :D
After we were done, Molly got onigiri and I got a sushi bento before we went to meet Kevin...who was only halfway through the Kogi truck. Ran into a bunch of people while waiting! Got foodz and ate with Derainna while Molly tried to get to the AP boutique.

When it was time, we wandered back into the concert room to find spots for the 2nd mini NOIZ set. We we right up front, but really close to the speakers (OW). There was this lady and a kid in front of us (er...who we let in front). I've seen the kid at other cons. He's cute, but i think he's also a little "special". During the concert I felt kind of bad because since there was no VIP section this time around, all the really enthusiastic fans were in the middle front and dancing really crazily. Poor lady got knocked into a lot while trying to protect the poor kid from getting bashed too much. I got knocked into a lot to so... I learned to move awayyy everytime the members came closer heh! It was so cute though! the kid was rocking out and Masato came right up to him and gave him a huge smile and patted him on the head ^^
And later on Angel Taka saw him too and kind of let the kid almost touch him and did a" can't touch this" pulling away motion before giving him another huge smile and a hair ruffle ^^ So nice to see :D

It's always cool seeing younger kids/older people having fun (and hopefully staying safe) at the concerts, there was a wee one in front of me at the Lin Clover concert, and watching the little granny rock out at the GLAY concert was cool too :)

After the concert, we went to go wait in line for the raffle thing. The paper at the booth said first 50 people would get a picture, but apparently the band said it was a raffle where they'd pick out 10 tickets out of the 50 for a picture. Luckily, the band agreed to let everyone have pics. They still called out only about 15 people though (which included me and molly! :D) for the original deal. Everyone else got to take a picture with their own camera with one band member. Kevin and Derainna didn't have tickets, but sooo many people didn't show up, that they didn't check tickets and they both got pics (with my camera) with Taka Angel.

Those of us with the magical winning tickets, got to do the same thing, as well as have a polaroid taken that would be autographed. I picked Yamato for my personal camera picture, and Angel Taka for the polaroid. Sadly, I got distracted by something so when they took the picture, I'm not looking at the camera -_-' *sigh* There was this japanese girl that was in a wheelchair that got her pic taken with them, and I guess she wanted to stand up so they helped hold her up~! <3

Afterwards, there wasn't anything left to do so we ended up going back to the room for the rest of the night (with a small venture out for carls jr for dinner). We ended up watching My Sassy Girl before deciding to go to sleep.

Sunday: 3rd Day
Packed up everything and checked out. (Thanks again to Molly for funding the room and driving! :DDD). We dumped our stuff in her car, and then went and stood in line for the Angelic Pretty, Takuya Angel, and Hangry&Angry Fashion Show. It was interesting! And we saw Patty as one of the Angelic Pretty models! After the fashion show, we all stood in line to get into the AP boutique because Molly wanted a picture with them. That line was...slow and long =-=' Kevin and I took off to the exhibition hall to snag any last things. I ended up buying a pink fat rabbit shirt (...that's my 3rd fat rabbit farm shirt ><; ) and NOIZ's Brand New World cd (featuring the new members). I also bought a poopy horse, and a piece of bread. That is not bread. It looks and feels and looks like milk bread, but it's just a little foam thing. Useless, but awesome XD And Kevin also bought me a little rat keychain from Fruits Basket :D

We came back and finally got into the AP boutique. Looked around while Molly got her picture, and went to the Takuya Angel boutique (ugh, everything at those boutiques were insanely expensive >.o; ). We took one last look around the exhibit hall, and said goodbye to PMX2009.

Molly dropped us off, and we ended up walking to Acapulco's for dinner (I had a coupon) On the way back we got boba, and once we returned Kevin headed off for home.

So. Monday was kitchen duty. I didn't do much haha. Swept the patio of trash/cigarette butts, then cleaned up and refilled stuff in the cafeteria. ...and then i spent pretty much the rest of the time washing dishes YAY 8D haha

Tuesday I just had 1 class, came back and spent a late night reading for our pop quiz (my ta suggested  quite strongly that we read because we MIGHT HAVE A QUIZ NEXT WEEK *hinthint*) great. The only other thing i did was lament the fact that whoever was supposed to clean the bathrooms last Wed and Sunday DIDN'T >( the wastepaper baskets are overflowing, there's pretty much no TP left and the bathrooms just look grody. grr.
also. one of the bathroom doors is broken. someone said that if you go in and close the door it'll lock you in. so...the wastebasket keeps the door open all the time now. whee. Since no one is going to use that one to go to the bathroom i took the tp from there and put it in the other bathroom (that had no tp and locks properly heh.).

Wednesday I woke up, and BOTH bathrooms were in use by people taking showers. ...How did i find out both of them were in use? Because I walked in on the person taking a shower in the open bathroom ugh. -_-'
Anyways, this meant i had to camp style it and brush my teeth and change and everything in my room. GRR.
So, anyways I got breakfast, and went tojrelig discussion...where we DID NOT HAVE A QUIZ! I could have used that time to sleep, buttface. >(
Headed to classical class, bummed around with people and then went to discussion for classical.

Afterwards, I went with Mabel to this place called Enzo's pizzeria (because we had a coupon lol!) Their pizza is actually pretty good! :D
After eating, we went to Trader Joes and Ralphs where I got a couple of snacks before heading back home.

Oh, and YAY whoever is supposed to clean the bathrooms is doing it, YAY :DDD (i feel sorry for her for having to deal with all that mess though =/ ).

And...now I should be doing something productive like reading for jpoetry seminar or finishing up classical homework. blah.

So, on Saturday Kevin and I went out to get him some makeup for his Crow costume, then headed off to get zombie Missa and head to Lyn's house. Red Riding Hood Barb,Renaissance wench Amy, and Joseph were already there getting ready, so we helped a bit before(ghetto) ghostbuster Chris came to help as well :D
There was much foodness to be had all around (chips, bean dip, ranch dip, veggies with various hummus dips and ranch, pigs in a blanket, spaghetti, meatballs, cake, cupcakes, more cake, haha!). Chris was trying to cook up some packaged candy fondue stuff but...
...it failed. miserably. it didn't stay gooey over heat, it just turned into what looked like cream cheese >>' Chris tried whipping it, but it failed so we just left it in the mixing bowl.
Carol, Bob, and Dennis came and we all chowed :D
And after chowing had some fun playing Rockband when Jacky showed up in his Zuko (from Airbender) costume and tried out some Rockband too.

Eventually Carol and Bob went home, and i got tired of Rockband and went and talked with people for a bit. Michael went home, and Kevin, Jacky, Missa, and I played some Texas Hold 'Em. Bun and Elene came by with their friends Max and Joyce! Max joined in the game...and pretty much took everything =____=' (including Kiwi whom he pretty much never let go of haha).

After a bit, Joseph and Amy left too, except when they went outside, it turns out that one of the semi-strays, Charlie, that Lyn's cats Socksie and Clyde hang out with had died on the sidewalk (he got hit by a car or something :< ). So Bun got a bag and wrapped the body up to put by the side of the house until Lyn could (I assume have Bob) take care of it in the morning :'(.

Jacky eventually wanted to leave, and decided that he had an ok hand and went all in, hoping he'd lose...but he ended up winning even more chips! ...but he still left and gave the chips to Barb. Around that time Kevin took Chris and his car home (since he'd had too much to drink) and Bun followed to bring Kevin back.

Around 2 people started panicking because of the no parking after 2 thing lol! So we helped clean up and put away food and everything and left for the night. Kevin took Missa home, and then me.
...and when I got home I realised that it was only 2:15...because of daylight savings time (so...all that worry for nothing arghhh)

On Sunday, I was supposed to get the flu shot (not H1N1 just the normal one) ...but the place had no syringes -.-' So i just got dragged to target to look for something with my mom (and got some washer/dryer sheets since i need to do laundry at school this week)
Afterwards, I got dropped of at Kevin's house and we went to HK Supermarket to see Michael and his mom,...and ended up helping him man their phonebook give away booth while his mom went to drop off his brother at work. After she returned, we went to CoffTea for drinks before dropping Michael back off, and going to Kevin's house to bum for a while until it was time to go to my grandparent's house. From there we went to Todai for some good eats (it was his birthday on Friday) and then my uncle took me back to school 8D.

So, Friday I went to my classical class, and the first thing the prof does is  go up to someone in the front with a pile of papers and give it to them saying "omiage :D" (gift). ...GIFT MY ASS! It ws a pop quiz -_-' ...suffice it to say my ass got pwned by trying to remember how to conjugate everything ;-;
The rest of the class went on as normal, We got out, and I went with Mabel and Chi to Westwood for some thai food! (or well... I had jasmine milk tea and a custard and coconut sticky rice dessert). Well, they were staying in Westwood and I had to go back for my class at 2. I took the shuttle back, but the shuttle dropped me off near Young Hall...in south campus.
I.
am not a south campus major (sciences).
I'm a north campus major (humanities/arts etc).
And so, i NEVER go into south campus (at least not past the buildings on the border).
So... I tried to cut through Young Hall and got lost . And ended up getting turned all around in the medical area.
even though I had almost 30 minutes to get to class (and it shouldn't have taken more than 10 or so), I got to class like 10 minutes late.

Anyways!
After class, I trekked back home, got all packed up and changed, and waited for Kevin to come. Once he arrived, we were off to Little Tokyo! ...it took forever to get there (and it took him forever to get here in the first place too, oi). traffic is evil. And the freeway is evil too. Once we were close, Kevin got off at an exit, and after crossing one intersection, we ended up right back on the freeway again! ...and then took the next exit off again (wtf at the ridiculous off and right back on thing though)
We were the 3rd car to arrive (after Lyn with Barb, Tracy and Michael, and Jonathan by himself). We parked and walked towards Oomasa, and I ran into Atom ._.'
We went in, and though we'd asked for 8 chairs, there was only a 6 person booth and a little extra seat. When we asked if we could have another seat on the other side of the booth, manager guy said no. :(
Luckily though, after bugging the manager guy to death about various things, the booth next to us opened up, so Kevin, Jonathan and I moved over there, and Molly sat with us when she finally arrived :D
We ordered and were merry, and then everyone headed off to Lyn's house to talk and play some Rockband. We played until a little before 1 when people had to start going home. Molly got lost though, and had to follow Michael ...except she followed him too much and ended up still not on the way home like she was supposed to be XD Eventually she got home though (yay!). After Michael and Molly left Kevin and I ended up going to his house for a while before he took me home.

Saturday, we went to Shau May for lunch. I had the oyster thin noodle (...not as good as other places =/) and he had their Jing Dong meat pie (omnom very nummy). We originally were going to have a day to ourselves, but then made plans to go shopping with Jonathan, but Jonathan forgot that he had something to do, so we decided to go back (partially) to our original plan and went to go see District 9! We were kind of late and missed the first few minutes, but I don't think we missed that much. And I actually liked the movie a lot :)
Afterwards, we got some cheap tea from Quicklys and then went back to Kevin's house to kill time for a while before heading to Clearmans to pick up some nummy salad and then going to Lyn's house where we helped cook up some pasta, corn, and steak. Michael was already there, and eventually Bun and Elene joined us too :D Nummy nummy foods were to be had. But Elene was keeling over from her allergies to the kitties that they had to leave soonly after :(. The rest of us played a dice game, and Kiwi kitten had probably more fun than we did just messing with the dice as we threw them XD. Around 12-ish we ended up cleaning up and leaving.

Today, Kevin picked me up and we ended up going to Shau may (again) and tried out the 5 spice squid. ...meh. not so good haha. My uncle had given Kevin a pair of tickets to the Laker shootout that Kevin was going to give to his friend, but she skipped out TODAY. So...we were trying to call everyone we could think of that would want to go, but no one could go on such short notice. poop. I feel bad that the tickets went to waste because she cancelled so last minute (as in, yesterday night she still wanted them -.-') that it was too short of a notice for anyone else to able to go.
Anyways, we gave up on trying to get rid of the tickets and then got tea at Tea Station and went back to Kevin's house to just relax until I had to go home for dinner.

And now. back at school. Kitchen duty awaits me tomorrow. I wonder what's in store?

Friday:
I went to my first class, and then my 2nd class. Well...my 2nd class goes from 2-4:50. Does anyone want to guess when I  got out? After 5:10!! T_________T'' My prof wouldn't shut up, and went over by 20 minutes D: ...and he didn't even cover everything he was planning on covering *headdesk* oi. Anyways, right when I got out, Kevin called me saying he'd arrived, but I wasn't even off campus yet, so he had to wait for me for probably 15 minutes >.o' (i would have been just about back by the time he called under normal circumstances -_-' . Anyways, he managed to find a parking space right by my building (yay!). I showed him around the place, and we went up to my room to figure out a place to eat. After deciding on this place called Pomodoro Trattoria, he/we took a short nap because he had a headache, and then headed off towards the restaurant, which is on Westwood and about 3 blocks past Wilsire (translation: a mile or so away from campus). We got there, and it was really crowded so we had to wait for a while before getting a seat. Kevin ordered gnocchi in tomato sauce with mushrooms, and I got their gnocchi with vodka sauce omnom so nummy :3. They asked us if we wanted dessert, but we said no and just got the bill. But, afterwards, they still gave us a complimentary slice of tiramisu SO GOOD ...definitely left a good tip :)
Afterwards we went next door to the Persian ice cream place I'd gotten ice cream from before and got some nummy ice cream (...which was the whole reason we ventured out so far from Westwood Village in the first place!) Kevin got the saffron with pistachio and I got their orange blossom ice cream (SO GOOD, i definitely want to go back again :D ). We trekked back, and by then the frat parties were in full swing haha D;
and after i got back to my room, I packed up and we headed back for home :)

Saturday:
Saturday, Tracy, Kevin, and I met up with Jacky at McDonalds for Mcflurries, and to give Jacky his birthday present from Tracy, Kevin and I

i kid --' his present just came in a Victorias Secret bag. We actually got him the 1st and 2nd DVD sets of 30 Rock ^^
We ended up sitting at McDonalds forever talking until it was time for people to leave.
Kevin and I went back to his house and bummed until around 7 when I went with his family to New Capital Seafood (it's a chinese banquet style restaurant). We...waited almost an hour to get seats oi. We had 6 people, so the restaurant had this deal where you get 2 lbs of shrimp free. So...Kevin's parents wouldn't let us touch any of the other food until we finished all the shrimp XD (i...beheaded one of them, and all the shrimp brains ended up in my teacup :[ ) Anyways, his parents ended up getting sharkfin and crabmeat soup, fried squid with spicy salt, ongchoi with garlic (chinese broccoli), shrimp with walnuts in mayo sauce, sweet and sour spareribs, cold ginger chicken, and black bean sauce clams. omnom :3 They wanted peking duck, but there were 2 wedding receptions, so they ran out :( ...and they said they ran out of the complimentary mango pudding...and then when Kevin's dad was like wtf, they managed to come up with a whole tray of it -__-;;;;

Sunday:
Kevin and I went to Long Beach Comicon (it's the 1st year)at the Long Beach Convention Center. Michael was supposed to go, but he couldn't make it, and neither could Kevin's roommate Chris, so we ended up going by ourselves. Kevin picked me up a bit after 11, and we got viet sandwiches before heading over to the place. We parked at the pier, and had our sandwiches and then went into the convention It...was pretty pitiful D; Just the exhibition hall and thats it. We went through everything in the place by 2pm D; So...we left (after I scored 2 belts and a shirt at FatRabbitFarm, got a pair of earrings, and Kevin got a shirt as well :D ). We ended up getting smoothies from Smoothie King and then walking around the pier. It was SO COLD T_T (wtf, it was hot 2 weeks ago, and from last week till now it's been really hot and really cold D; ). We walked all the way to Long Beach...beach haha and walked to the end of this trail, where a bunch of people were fishing, and saw this lady catch a stingray. it was kind of cool to see! ...the sting ray...was much less amused at being caught though, and was flopping angrily on the floor until they tossed it back in the water XD. After that we headed back to Kevin's house and had some nummy lobster his mom made (omnomnommmm :3~) and relaxed a little bit before my mom came to take me back to school, which is where I am now. ...when I got here a bit after 11, my roommate was already sleeping oi.

I got 3 more of my books! (that just leaves...another 4 i think?) I also got the usb cable for my printer, so i'm all set to go (...once i get paper that is haha D; )

So, today was fairly eventful?
I woke up early and got breakfast before trying to finish up the hw for classical japanese. Headed off to Japanese religion class, and found out from Chi that Mabel dropped both that class AND the Adv. Modern Japanese Texts class, she's leaving meeeee o(T^T)o (and Chi might drop the reading class too...and then i'll be all alone ;-; ).

Anyways...enough of that.

In between classes, I managed to finish hw, and then off to class! Which...suprisingly went ok (much better than the reading went, that's for sure XD). After class Chi told me about how Melnitz Hall was showing 9 (the movie) at 7:30 so, I said sure i'd go. Since it was only 3:15, we walked all the way to this Thai place across from Borders on Westwood (it's about a mile or so off campus i think) for an early dinner (after stopping at bobaLoca for nummy boba drinks and then stopping at this gift shop called aah! to just browse and look around at all their crazy stuff :D). After dinner, I wanted to try and find this Saffron and Rose ice cream shop that I always see when I'm on the bus. We hoped that it wouldn't; be too much further down the street than the thai place, but it turns out it was only a couple of doors down :D I got a saffron and pistachio ice cream, so. nummy. i want more D:

We headed back to school, and stopped in Ackerman for a bit before heading off to Melnitz where we found a huge line waiting for us. We waited for about half an hour and moved towards the front. They said that tickets were sold out, but there might be will-call seats so if we wanted to, we could just wait. So...we waited. There were about 10 people in front of us...and they ran out, 2 people before us GAH. so...no movie for me, so i just walked back home and now I'm working on reading for class tomorrow =_=''

So... today i went in at 10 like i was supposed to. ...and...we ended up sitting in the jury waiting room from 10-12 doing nothingggg ><'
So they said take your lunch break and come back at 2. I decided to walk down Valley Mall and see if i could find something to eat. Got harassed by a couple of ladies probably trying to get donations or something? ...but they were asking me in spanish, so i really have no idea what they wanted. Eventually I came upon a diner-ish place (it's basically like Ricks, burgers, tacos, yadda yadda). So i went in and ordered a patty melt and a drink and sat down with my number thingy. My food came, it was just meh.

...but anyways, there was this guy(who was older, hairy, and fug) who was sitting at a booth right in front of mine, but perpendicular ...and he kept looking over his shoulder at me. ...it was creepy -_-'

so after i was done with lunch i quickly left ...and because the lid of my drink was really weird my coke came up through the hole where the straw goes, and collected on top of the lid...which i didnt notice until i took a drink and spilled it all over me  bahhh D;

I got back to the room before 2 and waited. around 2:10 they called us up to the courtroom and everyone stood outside for a good 20-30 minutes before they let us in. The judge called up people to the jury box and started questioning them, and dismissed two of them (one for not knowing english very well, and another who had a bias). They weren't anywhere near done, but quit at a bit after 3:30, so now I (and everyone else in that courtroom) have to go back again tomorrow at 10 ><' The judge was a bit hard to hear (and my hearing in my left ear was still a bit messed up from the concert), so me, and a bunch of other people who weren't quite sure what was happening (were we done for good? did we have to come back in, yadda yadda) went back in to ask, and the bailiff yelled at us for going back in, and told us to listen more carefully -_-' (at least since we weren't sure we came back to make sure? D; )

so poop. i hope i don't get picked, I have to move in and start school next weeeeeekkkk ><'

anyways, my uncle picked me up and we went to this hawaiian place called northshore to pick up dinner (which...wasnt very good imho :[ )
While I was there though, I happened to run into Christine! :D (she was/is the secretary for my japanese school :D ). We talked for a couple of minutes before parting ways.

I came home and ate dinner, and ended up going out with Barb and Lyn around 9 or so. Lyn stopped by my apt so I could pick up a couple of things, and jeez. My mom didn't wake up at all even with me banging the front door around, and running up and down the stairs and even when I tried to see if she was awake haha XD). So I left, and we went to the liquor store where they got gin...and tonic (... i have decided... i am not a fan xP ) and we came back and played Beatles Rockband until Lyn took us home around 12:30 =D

So, Saturday I went with Kevin to his Aunt's hair salon in Chinatown so he could get a haircut. The other ladies kept asking me if i wanted to get my hair cut and i was like Noooooo, it's for him not meeee ><; haha, it's a lot shorter now (=( we all know I like long hair better ><' ) but it looks better than other cuts he's had (...even if he looks a lot younger again  haha XD). After he was done, we walked over to this restaurant called Jade Wok for lunch. Nummy foods and cheap too! :D We had shrimp in lobster sauce, their house special chow mein, and their home made special tofu, which was absolutely nommitynommity! (it was like fried tofu with meat sauce on top, and the tofu was nummy and custardy :3~ ). I'd go back just to get the tofu haha. We met up with Kevin's friends Matthew and Jason afterwards and talked to them for a bit before they left, and we wandered around the shops in Chinatown for a while before heading back for MPK. We bummed for a bit at Kevin's house until Michael called and said he was done with work, so we met up with him at Mandarin Deli. Omnom foods as usual, but they put too much chili oil in my chow ma noodles, so i couldn't eat too much of it :(. Once we were done with dinner we went to Jamba Juice to meet back up with Matthew and Jason, and then headed to Lyn's house for some Beatles Rockband :D When we got there, Scooter wasn't his normal jump and slobber on everyone self, and I guess Joseph had stepped on his hind right paw, so he was limping and favouring it, and not really moving much unless he had to, and also he was drooling a lot more than normal, so off to the vet he has to go *pats Scooter :( *
Everyone went home around 2-ish, but Kevin and I somehow ended up talking to Lyn for quite a bit longer before leaving for home.

Usually on Sundays I don't hang out with Kevin since he has to go back to school, and I have to be home for dinner, but we ended up going out today (so yay! <3). We went to Cha for Tea for drinks, and learned how to play a card game called Scat (we looked up games for 2+ players online and it sounded easy so we tried it and liked it :D ). After a bit, we went back to his house and just talked and surfed on my computer until i had to go back home for dinner around 5:30.

Tomorrow I have to go back to jury duty for the juror selection process....i hope i get out of having to actually serve on the/a case >.>'

Today...was both really bad, and really good ._.'

I had to wake up ass early and go to jury duty. I got there around 8:45 (supposed to be there by 9) and everyone ended up sitting there doing nothing until like 11:30 before we finally got called in for a case.
We all filed into the courtroom and the judge introduced himself, and had the lawyers for the defense and prosecution introduce themselves, then talked about the charges the defendant was facing. ...and then he said that they weren't doing jury selection today (it was almost lunch hour, and he had a doctors appointment he couldn't cancel) so... everyone has to go back in on Monday to go through the selection process ><'
I hope i'm not picked, but the case seems like a short one that wouldn't take more than a couple of days to clear up so... it wouldn't be the end of the world if i got picked....but STILL i dun wanna be picked ;~;

Since I got out at 12, Kevin couldn't pick me up since he was still at school, so I had to have my grandpa come get me (he also dropped me off). I went home and waited for Kevin to return, and once he arrived, we waited for Tracy to come back from lunch with Jacky. Once she got to my house she drove us to Cofftea for drinks (their ice cream green tea is actually really nummy *g* ). We returned to my house to pick up Kevin's car and then met up at his house where we talked until Tracy had to leave.

After she left, Kevin and I looked up directions for how to get to the restaurant we were meeting Molly at (Yuchun) and how to get to the House of Blues Sunset Strip from there. We left kind of late (a bit after 5:30 >.o' ) and ended up getting there a bit after 6:40 (oi...) The freeway traffic was hideous, and the traffic on Vermont was EVEN WORSE WTF D; We finally arrived and had some nummy naengmyun (korean cold noodles). After we slurped them down as fast as possible, we raced over to HoB. ...sadly Kevin missed a turn so we ended up taking a slightly longer way to get to the venue, but we got there, paid the $15 valet fee >.o' and met up with Molly to get in line to get in. We got in and went into the pit, but decided that there really weren't any good views there (too many people in already, and too many tall peopleeeee...but then again i'm like 5ft tall so...everyone is too tall to me -.-' ). So, we ended up going up to the 2nd floor balcony (stage right) had a pretty good view of the front of the stage, but couldn't really see the drummer or bassist (I think i was the only one that could kind of see them, of the three of us, and only if i tippy toed and leaned over a bit...or a lot haha D; ). There wasn't an opening band, so Glay started right in with their stuff. Teru, the vocalist mc-ed and was actually pretty funny (considering...he was saying random crap at times, in his engrish XD).

I couldn't really see what the drummer was wearing at all :(. Jiro the bassist was decked out in a black sleeveless ruffled/furry front shirt, shiny silver pants, sparkly silver high tops, and a sparkly silver guitar XD. Takuro(the guitarist) was wearing black pants and sleeveless shirt, with one of those sleeveless long jacket thingies that jrockers always wear, with maroon leather boots. Hisashi(the other guitarist) was decked out in this ridiculous silver wig that coupled with his black pants, plaid skirt, and black shirt and jacket, and black boots made him look like one of the brothers in FFVII:Advent Children XD. Teru (the vocalist) was wearing black pants, black boots that had these dangly feather things on them (...perfect cat toys, i had the urge to grab them off of his boots the whole show XD), a black vest and a black 3/4 sleeve shirt (open lol!). Throughout the show Teru threw in bits of fanservice with Hisashi and Takuro, that made the crowd definitely go wild XD (...not to mention he stole a sip of someone's drink and then learned that the huge speakers, are just free hanging when he was trying to get back on stage XD). During one of the last songs, Jiro had a singing part, and even had a couple of awesome bass solos (which...was cool because i couldn't really get a look at him before then, and at that point he'd moved up to center stage so we could revel in all his sparkly glory hurhur :D )

During their set, though the band  was really fun to watch, i was also having fun watching the crowd, and a couple of people in particular stood out to me. First, was the tallish, buff blonde middle aged dude with sun glasses towards the front of the crowd. He...totally didn't look like he fit in with all the skinny rocker younger people surrounding him, but he was really enthusiastic, and was even singing along to the songs so it was kind of cool to see someone out of the normal jrock age/fan range really getting into the music :D
...and even more out of the normal range? was the little old asian lady that was trying her best to rock out in the back of the pit. and when i say old, i mean granny old, complete with typical asian lady curly perm short hair (afro? XD) and knit scarf and granny glasses. ...but she was holding her own pretty well, swaying to the music and clapping and head bopping and looking like she was having a lot of fun (...considering at times she was stuck behind some tall dudes haha).
next up, was the sound guy. he was singing/mouthing along to all of the songs, and had this goofy/dreamy look on his face the whole time he was doing it, much entertainment there XD

...and lastly, but not so enjoyably, was the girl that was standing next to me on the balcony. This girl. did not move. at all. AT ALL! like...no head bopping, no clapping/cheering at the end of songs, no body swaying, no nothing. ...i wanted to push her out of the way -.-' (she had a better spot too -.-' ) at least, i dunno, look like you're into it a little bit, or if you're not into it, don't take up the good spots, GTFO >( *shakes fist*

since i'm really not familiar with the band at all, i couldn't tell you what they played, but it was a good 15+ songs (probably closer to twenty with the two encore songs they did). After they were done(before the encore) I asked kevin to go buy me their cd (i'd given him all my money because i didn't want it falling out of my pocket :( ) ...so, he went downstairs, and came back up emptyhanded and said "They have cds still 8D" ...yay? where's mine? D: ...he didn't realize he was supposed to go down and actually BUY me one *headdesk* ah...such a dorkus XD
so...since the band came back for their encore (in their tour shirts :D ) I figured we'd just get them after the show. After they were done with their two encore songs (and Teru's choruses of I LOVE YOUUUUU!!!!) Kevin and I rushed to the merch line (because after seeing the band, i felt like getting their cd...and a t-shirt >.o' ) They ran out of t-shirts, but one of the workers rushed to the back and got just a handful more (YAY) so we managed to score their 3 disc best of album and a tour shirt for me before meeting up with Molly outside where...we waited forever in a line to get the cars. Molly got her car first, and Kevin and I ended up waiting until past 12:30 to get his car (...and the concert ended at like... a little after 11 -.-' )  Finally got his car, and headed off for home :)

even though I haven't listened to this band in years (I listened to them a bit back in '02 when I was a newb to jrock, and downloaded whatever i could get my paws on...which was mostly older music and older bands XD) I had a lot of fun (they're all really energetic and got and kept the crowd going throughout the whole show :D ...not to mention Teru can actually sing decently live ...unlike all those other bands that sort of lack in that department >.o' )...oh, and his hair was really purtiful *o*

so...this week i've basically been living at Lyn's house at night XD

Tuesday was just Lyn, Barb, and I which was pretty cool. no pressure, no having to watch words, no having to fight over shit, no animosity :D

Wednesday, Kevin came back from Long Beach to join Lyn, Barb, Barb's cousin Dennis and I at Dave & Busters since it was the last Wednesday for 1/2 price games :D After eating at D&B and messing around in the arcade section for a while, we went back to Lyn's house to play some Guitar Hero 5 for a bit until Kevin had to head back to school (i'm so glad he managed to come back for a bit, i was getting kind of bummed ='[ )

Thursday, I went with Lyn, Joseph and Amy to Carrows (they got dinner, I'd eaten so I just got a milkshake) and then we went back to Lyn's house where they played Rockband and I...puttered away on my computer until it was time to head home, because i'd gotten annoyed and didn't feel like taking peoples heads off >.o'

Friday, Tracy and I went to Walmart where I got a recharge minutes card for my phone (since i had all of 15 minutes left on it -.-'). We wandered around there until Kevin got back to MPK and headed over to meet up with him at TenRen for some tea :D After picking up our teas, we went over to Lyn's house so Tracy could be introduced to the kitties and so she could try out some GH5. Afterwards, Tracy went home and Kevin and I ended up going to Clearmans for some nummy nummy steak (omnomnom *drool* :3~ ).

Saturday afternoon Kevin and I just bummed around his house. We were watching the opening ceremonies for the 2009 Taiwan Deaflympics and ended up getting an idea as to what to eat for dinner  (one of the dance routine things was people dressed up as parts of mango shaved ice and people dressed up as parts of a hot pot jumping into their respective bowls and...floundering around ._.' ) So we decided we should get some of both :D ...but then decided maybe we'd get the shaved ice another day, and hot pot is expensive -.-' So... instead we ended up meeting up with Michael and getting thai food. ...but the place we picked was closed, and Michael headed to a totally different thai restaurant (in Pasadena, instead of Alhambra >.o' ). So...we met up with him at the place (it was called Chandras) and it was NUMMY <3
Afterwards, Kevin and I headed over to Lyn's house where we ended up just watching stupid youtube videos with Lyn and Barb, and cheering on baby kitty as it climbed up this cat carpet climby thing that Lyn has in her bathroom for the kitties :)

Tonight (or...well...last night now i suppose). Kevin and I went to Mahan for some indian food (neither of us have had it before, but OMNOM yummy :] ) Afterwards we went to ColdStones where Kevin bought a pink of sweet cream ice cream before we headed off to Granada Park for a bit to hang around until Lyn called us to come over. We went over around 8 and waited for Barb, Joseph and Amy to arrive and then headed off to Fresh & Easy to get supplies for the BBQ at Lyn's tomorrow (er...today in like... 6 hours haha D; ). After that we talked for a bit before trying out some Guitar Hero Metallica and Rockband until about 1 when we all headed back. I drove back to Kevin's house and we bummed around a bit because he had a gallbladder attach, but we ended up falling asleep until almost 4 when I went home >.o' ...and I haven't been able to fall asleep yet T_T but off i go to try ^^)/

most of the week of july 12-18 was spent at lyn's house playing rockband and card/dice games and such during the night hours, and during the day just hanging out with people since Tracy came back from France and all. I think it was also somewhere in there that we went to a couple of Obon Festivals in Little Tokyo with Joseph and Amy

last week was...much more...eventful >.o'

Lyn had asked if we wanted to come over to her house on Monday, but she wasn't feeling well so we said we'd come on Tuesday instead. Tuesday came and we called her all day without an answer, so, because we were worried we ended up basically breaking into her house >.>'
luckily, she was just asleep *wipes brow*

Thursday we had a barbeque with Kevin S, Tracy, Tina, Jonathan Michael, and Missa =D
...Joseph and Amy were supposed to come too, but I kind of...got into it with Joseph the night before so they didn't come till later to talk things over >.o' (which, btw i'm sorry we ended up doing things online at first, but i wasn't intending to have a conversation that way that night, so things didn't really go...well >.o' ) But anyways, after everyone talked, i think things will be better ^^'

On Friday, Tracy, Jonathan, Kevin and I went with Kevin S kayaking in Newport beach! when i woke up my mom was telling me not to drown or get eaten by sharks, because there were 12 ft waves crashing right onto the beach, and there was a great white shark sighting. Luckily, we were at the Newport Beach aquatic center, which is more like a little lake attached to the ocean, so the water was calm. Kayaking was a lot of fun, but really tiring =-='

Saturday, Kevin S called Kevin about going to the Obon Festival at Higashi Hongwanji (instead of Nishi, which we went to before) because Cody had to go work there anyways. We said sure and went over and looked around for a bit before going to Issei Jouseki for dinner (omnom cold udon :3~) Afterwards we went back to the festival to wait until 9 when Cody got let off. On the way out we ran into Amy's parents and said hi before leaving. After we got back, Kevin and I went to Lyn's house where we played a bunch of card games until we went home =)

So Friday we did indeed end up going to Montebello mall and went to a bunch of stores to see about job openings, but most of them had their applications online, so that wasn't all that fruitful -.-'
We ran into Jonathan right when we got there though, so he stuck around with us for a while :) Eventually Jonathan went home and the rest of us left and had some dinner :D

On Saturday, Joseph, Amy, and I met up at Kevin's house and Jonathan picked us up and we went to the...West Coast Plaza I think it was called? It's this really HUGE and really extravagant mall in Costa Mesa o-o' Like...everything there was Coach, Oscar de la Renta, Tiffany, Lalique, yadda yadda, ...i swear the cheapest place  I saw there was like...H&M ._.'''
We went because Jonathan needed to find a wedding gift for a friend, which we finally ended up finding at Macys :D
The rest of the time was spent oogling at the home furnishings in Crate & Barrel and Macy's home XD
For lunch, we went to Ruby's diner where Kevin and I split a burger because we'd both eaten a little bit before leaving home. As I was ordering, Kevin and I moved at the same time and managed to spill like half of his cherry coke on my pants D: (brr... gooey sticky freezing cold crotch is NOT fun ='[ ) After lunch as we were leaving, Amy and I ended up at Victoria's secret where they were having a sale ...poor boys got stuck outside, but eventually came in because we were taking so long ...which by the way wasn't our fault -.-' we asked a sales girl about the fitting rooms, and she said someone should be back there (which...when we went the first time there wasn't anyone, that's why we asked her -.-' ) but we went back anyways, and randomly a salesgirl came out of the back (she looked like she just got off shift) she asked if we needed the rooms and we said yes, so she said that she'd get someone ...but no one ever came -________-'''' so...finally another sales girl that was helping someone else out, asked and opened the stupid rooms for us YAY (...and grr to all the other people >( ). We finished up pretty quickly after that and left for home. Jonathan left for dinner with his family, and the rest of us went to Tasty Choice for dinner before going to Lyn's house and meeting up with Michael for a while and playing Rockband :D

Sunday, Kevin came with my family to Tokyo lobby for dinner, and afterwards we just bummed at his house until he took me home.
Monday and Tuesday, We've basically bummed at his house, and then gone to Lyn's house to play some Rockband :D

...Tuesday though, we went over and poor Scooter wasn't his feisty self :'( He seemed to have a fever, a bit of erratic breathing, and a runny nose (...which could probably explain his breathing...if he can't breathe because of a stuffy nose or something *pets* )

So... on Friday I hung out with Tracy from around 11:30 or so. We got some viet sandwiches and went back to her house and bummed around talking and playing guitar hero until Kevin came around 4:30 when Tracy had to leave to go to a banquet thing.

After that, Kevin and I went and got some tea from TenRen and stayed at his house until it was time to leave around 7:30 for our reservations at 8 at Madeleines in Pasadena. Once we got there we were seated in this dimly lit room that, amazingly wasn't all that crowded (there were only 3 or 4 other tables besides us). We ordered and decided on the fois grois for our appetizer, and kevin got duck while i got a steak dish, and for dessert we got a frozen lavender souffle with a a scoop of granita on the side with loquat syrup and lavender :D
Our dinner was pretty good, but it was so expensive $95.05 with tax, so we ended up leavin $120 with tax and tip. The service was really good though. All through the meal, the servers really never went near the tables to ask how things were, but they would flit around at the entryway to the room to see if water was low or people seemed to be in need of something and only then would they actually come in and attend haha (it was kind of cool for things to be so hands-off and yet still attentive XD)

anyways, today i bummed at Kevin's house and now, after dinner with Joseph, Amy, and Michael, we're all at Lyn's house playing Rockband :D

it's been a busy past couple of days haha.
On Tuesday I went with Priscilla to Native foods for dinner to get some vegan food :)
Priscilla got a ranch club sandwich, and I got a portobello and sausage sandwich
my "sausage" was flavourless, and looked like a piece of bread...on top of my bun D:

yeah...i didn't really like what I got, and thought that Priscilla's was a lot tastier(it had nummy fake bacon :D)

yesterday, after class I went to a workshop thing on grad school for ALC majors/minors. But before that, there were a couple of hours in between class and the workshop, so I went with Chi and Mabel down into Westwood. First Chi had to stop back at her dorm so Mabel and I went to Ackerman to wait, where I got nummy nummy shaved ice for 55c (because I had a $3 off coupon YAY). We sat there forever and I finished my shaved ice before Chi came back XD. After she returned, we went to a little boutique so that Mabel could return a dress she'd bought that she didn't like, then went to this bakery called Elyse that has nummy pastries...except that a slice of cake is like $5 (i got a slice of hazelnut cake, and it set me back %5.03 haha D; ). After getting my piece of cake we went and got boba at bobaloca before heading back to Royce for the presentation, which was quite informative. Except...that the giy in my first class who NEVER. SHUTS. UP. was there, and apparently that's not the only place he never shuts up either, because he asked sooo many questions (some of them were kind of common sense questions too -.-' ). So...after that we went to Ackerman to look at the sale stuffs, but there wasn't really anything, so we parted and went our separate ways.\

Today...
I went with Diana to CVS and bought a hair straightener, new razor (i really needed a new one, all my ones here are rusty because I forget to take them out of the shower :( ), and some nailpolish and makeup supplies that i needed for tomorrow :)

oh. odd thing today. so far getting my meal tickets has been ok. except for the first one. and the last one. heh. this time, i gave the girl at the register the ticket and she didn't know what to do so she had to call a manager. She talked to this guy in white, who i guess wasn't the manager? (because she also had to leave at the same time to go to her other job across the way) and I had to wait foreverrrr. The guy was really nice though. ...kind of creepily nice ._.' He was like
"Sooo how are you doing today?"
"Ok"
"Just ok?! not angry or anything right?"
"Nope, just hungry"
"So, what was it you wanted"
"I was hoping to get the clam chowder"
"What? You said you were hungry? That's just an appetizer! You don't want a turkey sandwich or something?"
"No...just a clam chowder"
"Ok, follow me"

This weekend felt really odd...

Anyways, after Tracy had come back from work, and Kevin had returned from school, we hung out at Kevin's for a little bit talking before going to cha for tea for some tea. We came back and talked for some more before Tracy had to leave for home. After she'd left we just bummed a bit until Michael called us and told us he was already at Foofootei (where we'd decided to eat dinner) so we met up with him, and Joseph and Amy and had some nummy ramen :D After that we went back to Kevin's house and walked around Play Days for a while before sitting around watching random crap on tv (except Kevin and I spent like half of the time sitting outside talking because he was freaking out about all of his finals on Monday *huggies* :[ ). We also got to look at the new hole Kenneth put in the wall because he thought it'd be a good idea to Sparta kick the wall...again -_-'''

On Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house and we got some food from J&S (the mexican food place we tried to go to last saturday before the whole cemetary fiasco >.<' ) and brought it back to his house. We were going to go to Lyn's house, but she called saying she wasn't feeling well so we scrambled to make other plans...and failed miserably ><' We finally ended up meeting up with Michael at Golden Deli for some viet food, and Lyn called saying she was feeling better so after dinner, Michael, Kevin, me, Joseph and Amy went to Lyn's house and played some Rockband with Lyn, Barb, and Barb's cousin Drake. Kevin had to leave at 10:30 though to head back to school ;~; Also, somewhere in there I started feeling a bit nauseous and had a stomachache...I think whatever stomach bug Kevin had in the afternoon passed to me that evening, but I started feeling better by the end of the night. The rest of us stuck around until a bit after 2 before going home so Lyn could rest up ^^;

Anyways, today I'm just sitting at home waiting to go back to school...and then i should probably check and see what I have to finish for this week 8D

Sunday, I went to the eye doctors to follow up with my contacts. I like the ones I'm using now (Acuvue Oasys) so I decided to keep these and got my prescription and everything. After that my mom and I went to my grandparents' house for dinner, and then she took me back to UCLA...and on the way my uncle called and told me i'd forgotten my laptop charger (FUCK) so...now I don't really have use of my laptop this week (and we all know how attached I am to it, especially here at school where there's nothing else to entertain myself with ><' ).

Today...didn't make my already sucky beginning of the week any better -_-' I overslept and missed my first class, and then had to go print out stuff (my handout for my presentation, and then our reading materials for japanese) So... I went to Rieber's learning center, and the printer was down. Dammit, I thought to myself, and then headed over to Covelle to print instead. And...their printers were also down (WTFH?!) And by then I was running late so I had to go straight to class >>' Luckily we didn't have anything due, and I just shared with my classmate Chi so *phew*. After that class was ling...in which i had a presentation.
...except...
i didn't. -_- it turns out my presentation was for Wednesday and not for Monday (like all the other presentations were) so I rushed for nothing...but at least it's done since it would have been kind of hard to do without my computer (since i had to type a lot of japanese,and i doubt that these computers here in the lab i'm in atm have japanese writing capabilities). *sigh*

so...last week was pretty busy, and this week won't really be any better since I have a linguistics paper due on Wednesday that I haven't started on yet , and I have a kanji quiz tomorrow ><'

I hope I did  ok on my midterm last week. hopefully sometime this week i'll get my grade back >.o

anyways, Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday was time to relax! =D
Erm... on Thursday I had gone with fakeplasticblah  to Ackerman so she could get some $5 soap, and what happens instead? I end up buying a $45 Bare Minerals makeup kit, and she got a set of their Rocker eye makeup how-to kit -_-'

Friday, Joseph and I went with Tracy so she could have passport pictures taken. We ended up going to Fro's parents' shop, and then after that went to CVS so i could get some eyeshadow (since the kit i got only has foundation/powder stuffs and i needed some color stuffs 8D).
After that, we went to the post office so Tracy could mail stuff, and then went to her house to play Guitar Hero until Michael and Kevin showed up.

Once they did, we went and got tea from Tenrens and hung out for a while until we had to depart from Tracy :(
After deciding what area we wanted to eat in, we retrieved Amy and went to this little place near Green Zone for dinner. The food was actually pretty good...except for the ma po tofu which was greasy and spicy as all hell D; (everything else got mostly demolished...but most of that was still there =/ ). After dinner we went to nubi's for froyo! 8D On the way to Amy's house after though, we got stopped at a drivers license checking checkpoint >.>' Of course we had no problems and off to Amy's where we ended up talking until it was about 12:30 and Michael had to go home (since he had to wake up at 7 in the morning).

On Saturday, Kevin and I got food from Mama's Kitchen and then basically spent the afternoon just bumming back at his house. Around 6 Joseph came over and he drove us to Michael's house. From there, Michael drove to Albertsons so we could get Lyn some pineapple juice and then got Amy and headed to Lyn's house where Lyn and Barb had made some nummy salad and bread and lasagna :3
After eating, we all did the usual and played Rockband until around 2am. Once we left, Michael drove Amy home, then drove to his house, where Joseph took Kevin and I to Kevin's house, and then Kevin took me home =D

and today I went back to they eye doctors to get my glasses! I'll post pics of them later, because i'm lazy and should be doing something useful like studying XD I also asked for a different kind of contacts since the Acuvue 2s I tried out last week were drying out (because I apparently have slightly dry eyes ><'). We'll see if these Acuvue Oasys contacts are better, I have a contact check-up next week to see if I like these ones.s

and now, back to studying and "stalking" a most interesting conversation ^_~

I'm not looking forward to monday, at all! we have a mock job interview (well...except that you can turn in a resume if you want to) in Japanese! omg it's only the beginning of the 4th week, and already something this big! D: So, in class today, we went over some do's and don'ts going into the interview =X

Before class, I'd gone to the dining hall ith Stephanie and Missy for breakfast for the first time. Except... I didnt' know it was in De Neve (aka, the really far dining hall) and  i didn't bring my backpack with me, so I had to scurry back to my room to get my backpack, and then try and catch up to Thuy Vy on the way to class.

After class, i ate lunch with Diana and at our building, we decided to take the elevator, because it's a pain walking up so many steps and stuff and we were tired and full. Well, when we got out of the elevator onto the 2nd floor, as the doors were closing this guy was like "Next time, you should walk >(" ...uh...wtfh? S.T.F.U asshole >.>'

We pay just as much to live in the building as everyone else, so it's only fair that we should get the same priviledges, like oh, i dunno, USING THE DAMNED ELEVATOR IF WE WANT TO! -_-' After walking like a mile back from class with heavy books, binders, folders, laptops, etc, why does everyone else get to use the elevator and rest their feet, when we can't? that's bullshit. Those of us on the 2nd floor (and 3rd and 4th it would seem) are just as tired, and shouldn't be given shit for wasting what? a couple of seconds? to use the elevator -_-'

but anyways, after we got back, and Priscilla came back, I convinced fakeplasticblah to come with Priscilla and I to Santa Monica to walk around and shop. We took the bus and walked over to the MAC store so Priscilla could take back some makeup she bought yesterday (she ended up not liking the 3 eyeshadows she bought, and the overpriced brush, and got like $87 back). She returned it and bought a pink pigment powder stuff, and we all probably spent like an hour messing with the makeup. There was a tube of lipstick that I actually liked, but I don't wear lipstick often enough to warrant spending money on one, so after a while we left and went to Forever 21 and Urban Outfitter. We didn't really see anything though, and took the bus back home. After we got back, we got food from Puzzles and Bruin Cafe and fakeplasticblah  came over to our room to hang out and meet Torta (the tortoise) and Danny and Penny (the turtles). There was some drama between Stephanie and Priscilla, so we kind of tried to ignore that and talk about other random stuff haha. We ended up talking forEVER until she got tired and left at like almost 2 XD

and now... i should probably take a shower so that i'll be ready when my mom picks me up at 4 ._.'

Friday, Kevin took me back to my house to pick up my purse, and then the bank so i could get money before we went to Lee's tofu for lunch. After lunch we went back to his house and waited for Joseph, Tracy, and Michael to show up with their BB guns. We messed around with the...growing assortment of pistols, shotguns, etc for a while until going to Big 5 to look for a case for Tracy's shotgun. We ended up not getting anything though, and Joseph took Tracy's gun for the time being while we find out what kind of cases we have to have to be allowed into a BB gun shooting arena place haha.
Tracy went home a little after that, and the rest of us picked up Amy and ended up going to Casa Calderon for some nummy dinner. After dinner, we didn't know where to go so we just bummed at Kevin's house while he...passed out on the couch from not getting enough sleep ...only to be kicked in the shins by Terry who wanted his camera ...which started a huge fight that he lost because his mom basically told him to give Terry the camera so she'd stfu and stop screaming at like 1:30 in the morning =_='
After that time, we all went home and Joseph took Amy home while Michael took me home :)

Saturday, Kevin and I were supposed to go to The LA County Arboretum for a date (...which... we haven't had in what seems like forever)
But...since Terry took his camera to some stupid music festival, we rescheduled to April 18th >.>' So, instead he picked me up from home and we went to The Corner Kitchen (where Dodoro's used to be) for lunch. The food was ok, but I wasn't feeling very well (curse you cramps!! ><' ) so I ended up not finishing it and took it back to Kevin's house where we waited for Michael to get out of work. He got out, and we called Joseph and ended up going to Joseph's house for a while before going to The Congee for dinner. We had some time to kill before going to Lyn's house so we stopped at Phoenix Inn for drinks and then went back to Kevin's house until she called. Went to Ralph's to pick up pineapple juice and cranberry juice so she could make Caribbean Breezes and then headed off to her house where we played RockBand until like 1 when Michael had to go home. I've decided... having basically a liquid diet for a day, and then consuming any amount of alcohol = me semi-permanently attached to the toilet (having to pee! not from any sort of effects of being drunk >< I have more responsibility than that! >=[) ...i should be more careful next time haha.

Sunday, I went with Kevin to Joseph's house around 2 to hang out for a bit since Joseph was planning a Pay-per-view WrestleMania party/gettogether thing ...except no one came except for me and Kevin :( And contrary to what seems to be popular belief, i don't mind watching wrestling...the only thing I dislike is the horrid acting and stupid storylines -_-' The competitions themselves are ok though. Basically...the only sports I will willingly watch for more than 5 minutes is figure-skating, gymnastics, bull-riding, extreme sports, wrestling, boxing, and once in a greatttt while basketball...but that doesn't come around too often haha. So, no, I am not absolutely opposed to watching any kind of sports at all, just...most of them XD
Anyways, I had to leave at 5 to have dinner and go back to school, so I left them to their fan-boying and went home.
Oh yeah, Joseph's mom is like my aunt, with the magically appearing ice-cubes and not taking no when it comes to food/drinks haha D;

Monday...was a pretty shitty day to begin with. I stayed up late Sunday night trying to finish my linguistics homework and ended up oversleeping! :( I woke up at 8am, and class starts at 8am >.>' so I scrambled to get to class and managed to get there by 8:30 ...not bad considering my prof had changed our room number and building, and it's now in a building i've never been in -_-' I also had been planning on printing out my hw but priscilla's printer wasn't working, so I figured in between classes, I'd print at the library. Well...the line was so long I would never have gotten it printed in time, and so instead of finishing the 2nd part of my hw, I spent the time rewriting it on lined paper so at least I'd have something to turn in D:
Around 9 or so, I went with Diana and Priscilla to LAX to pick up Diana's sister from the airport. It took over an hour on the bus there, and about half an hour on the bus back. At least, I managed to finish more than half of my 245 page book that I have to read for tomorrow =D
We got back and met Thuy vy for dinner at De Neve Late night and went back to my room for a bit before everyone started going to sleep. Speaking of which, for the time being Thuy Vy is sleeping on our floor because she had surgery on her knee over spring break and can't get to her top bunk bed in her room.

Today is going a bit better at least! I'd forgotten how entertaining it is to have this one guy, Andrew, in my Japanese class. He comes up with the most random stuff constantly, so it keeps the class and even Kawanishi sensei laughing constantly haha. Today, we were talking about the word inki (陰気） which means like...gloom/melancholy and how it's related to kurai (暗い) which is like...dark/gloomy. So...he came up with a story. About a shark wanting to eat a squid and so it chases the squid and the squid squirts its ink (inki, ink get it?) which of course makes things dark (kurai) and so it gets away.
...i really don't think anyone else would be able to come up with shit like that XD

so... Kevin came back Thursday night, and on Friday we walked over to Tracy's house around 11 to keep Tracy and Audrey company while they waited for someone to come and mess with the lighting. ...the person was supposed to come at 8:30am, and by 12:30pm (once michael had shown up) we gave up and left for cha for tea. When we came back, the guy had left his card on the doorstep >.>'

Anyways, we bummed around for a while until Tina was ready, got Tina and Jacky from Jacky's house and headed off to Eaton canyon (Eaton canyon is a little pocket of wilderness near Pasadena with hiking trails and stuff like that). We hiked up to the waterfall! It was pretty fun...except i kept falling in the water when we crossed the riverbed (no bridges or anything, you have to just jump from rock to rock/treebranch >.>' ). It took us a little over an hour to get to the top where the waterfall is, and it was actually quite pretty! I only wish i could find my camera's connection cable so i can upload pictures (...and that i'd actually brought my camera with me at all! haha *fail*). Ah well...next time I'll make sure to bring a camera =)

After that, we trekked back down, and everyone separated. Kevin, Michael and I met up with Joseph at Kevin's house so that I could get my laptop back from him (I lent it to him so that he could use it for his final portfolio presentation thingy for school). We talked for a while, and then went to dinner at Cafe Spot before coming back to Kevin's house and talking some more until everyone went home.

On Saturday, I went over to Kevin's house around 1:45 or so and we just hung around waiting for Michael to get out of work. After he got out of work, We met up with Michael and Joseph and went to Evikes to look at BB guns. Joseph ended up getting this really kickass 3shot shot shotgun for a little over $60. After that, we went to Santa Anita mall so Michael could buy a textbook, and then wandered around until we ended up in this little shop that sells a bunch of Japanese baubles where Kevin ended up getting me a cute little purple cat figurine ( <3 thank you <33). We wandered some more before heading to a little restaurant right by Evikes called Tasty Cafe (which...amazingly, was pretty tasty! ...except for the drinks...those weren't so good >.>' ) We called Lyn and Barb because Lyn was having her birthday party...but they didn't come back until pretty late, and since Kevin had to wake up early to go to Las Vegas, we couldn't go :( (sorry Lyn! Happy birthday though!! =D)

After dinner, we went to Michael's to watch the last few minutes of the figure skating tournament (we got to watch Korea's Kim Yu-na win AND be the first woman to break a score of 200! =D). Once that was over though, everyone scattered and went home.

Today, I went to my mom's cousin's house in Mission Viejo for a party thing...it was ok. Kind of boring though, because I didn't know like half of the people, and didn't really talk much with anyone. Around 6:30 though, we all left and my uncle drove me back to UCLA.

...and now I should get some sleep since I have class at 8am tomorrow morning 8D
